SOURCE: I have a Bosch brute jackhammer, I need the tool

You can use an adjustable face spanner wrench to remove that cap. I don't remember the pin size but you can measure the holes and get the appropriate size. You can remove the whole plate with the armature by undoing the 4 cap screws. Prior to removing the motor plate you have to remove the handle plate from the axle that goes through the body. Undo the nut that holds the assembly on and slide it off. You can now remove the Armature plate. After removing the cap screws pull the assembly out about 1-2 inches. You will see the wires that go to the field attached to the brush holders. Remove the screw that holds these wires to the brush holders. You can then safely remove the whole assembly. This also makes it easier to remove that cap plug with the spanner wrench, because you can now put the whole assembly in a vise. I always heat around the cap with a torch before doing anything. Then I tap on the plug with a hammer a couple of times and voila it turns alot easier. Corrosion almost always builds up on this cap because of the different metals. (Steel and Aluminum respectfully)

Your hammer may have a broken connecting rod. To inspect this make sure you ping the cylider and body with marks so you line them up the same way. Then remove the 4 cap bolts that hold the cylinder to the body. Remove the cylinder and inspect the hammer cylinder and rod. If the connecting rod is not broken you will have to inspect the gears and pinions to make sure they are ok.

SOURCE: I have a bosch hammer dirill that won't chip nor drill but motor run fine

Hi, have you tried the various positions on the front part of the gearbox behind the 'chuck'?
If so, then Im afraid it must go in for repair. These are not an easy fix and personally I would recommend you ask for a 'quotation' as it could be just something simple to do with the 'Gearbox' selector, but it could also be something a lot more serious within the Gearbox.
Good Luck & Best Wishes, John..

SOURCE: bosch gsh 10c is not hammering

1 617 000 190 is the number of a consumables kit for this BOSCH tool , but first look the most important part that will decide you to do the service thats pos 20 the conduction band 1 618 597 067 (the armature and gear matter of course)
Look for a broken driving rod pos 70 (do allways a complete service with complete maintenance (consumables kit with the right grease)
it must be have enough driving guidance and also the impact bolt pos 41 1 618 710 071 must be smooth and the hammertube (solvent clean it and look for torning secure (especially this model)
If all looks good and the driving gear is ok you shout be able to do a service for this tool there are no special tools needed like other brands like Dewalt or Milwaukee 500s as an example special for the impactbold that is having a kevlar seal and without special tools its a problem to service that kind of brands to get it in the sleeve, so it is the most important thing by all hammertools that its airticht serviced because of burning in very short time the rings again because of the working principal of demolition hammers , with loctite 222 do not forget to seal all the bolts again that all of them are good sealed.
The consumables kit has grease inside complete use ALL OF THE GREASE , and if all parts where solvent cleaned make them good dry before use the grease and grease all parts before replace the o-rings seals and all other parts. BEWARE the drawing is in dutch

A nice suggestion of the hammers life
A nice discovery that the old models, but also young models from Bosch nowadays only have the pet name brand BOSCH insist that double and cross deserves, so I only know well the other brand MAKUTE is simply a real BOSCH machine the same quality because it comes from mainland CHINA look here for Taizhou Dasen for the legend Boschhammer but this marketing technical not the same model , but be know what the costs are of the parts in the meantime.

Jackhammer is not hammering

Its need service if its anchor / drive gear is worn or the o-rings seals are worn, if its this model hammer make a trade-in service that in case its an old hammer like this model its not the model to service by your one the best option is trade-in by your dealer. if its handle this model
