SOURCE: How to wire a sony 1200 watt amp

I believe what your trying to do is to run 2 12" subs and some other satillite speakers? We used to do that all the time.. That is called running the amp in "mixed mono" that's where the mids & tweets are run in stereo while the subs are bridged mono. This configuration is what made Rockford Fosgate "The Bomb" back in the day. To do what you want your subs have got to be 8 ohms, NOT 4, Dual Voice Coil 4 ohms would be OK. Before i tell you how it can be done let me tell you what will happen... For one thing you will be "making" your own cross overs for the subs and mids and tweets. Forget about using the cross overs on the amp. 2ndly you will lose about 1/3 to 1/2 of the amps power because the crossovers are so inefficient, so don't even think your going to get anywhere near 1200 watts from the amp. More like 300, and that's on a good day. But if you still want to do it you go to your Radio Shack and get 1ea 6.0 mHy (milhenry) coil and two 47 mfd (microfared) capacitors, or something close to that value. So you would wire your mids & tweets normal in stereo and on the + line to each mid wire in the 47 mfd capacitor. That is your h/p crossover which will crossover your mids @ appx 130hz. Now on your subs. You want to wire them in parellel (both +s twisted together and both -s twisted together so it looks like there is just one woofer with a + and a -) Than from the L+ of the amp run a wire to the coil and from the coil to the + of the woofers, than using the R- of the amp to the -s of the woofers. Do not use any of the amps built in crossovers leave it on full. Good luck. Mark @ Sounds Good to Me Tempe, AZ

SOURCE: how well will a 1000 watt kenwood amp pump with 2 1200 watt suns

2 will push more air but be careful how they are wired so you dont go to low on the ohms your amp sees. That amp should be 2 ohm stable so read up on how to wire in series or parallel.

SOURCE: how i wire my sub to my jbl gto301-1iiamp with 2 Hifonics HFi12D4

If the amp is 1200 watts at 2 ohm stable you will want to set up the speakers as parrallel and bridge the amp. That means conncect the speakers with + to + and - to -. Look at the amp connections. Usually thereare connects that look like this:
+ -
+ - + -

If yours look like this use the diagram on top. You will use the + for the left ouput on the amp to the right - on the amp. This will allow you to use all the power from the amp. Be sure to lower the gain as to not pop the speakers or amp.

Can i connect 2 jbl 300 watt speakers to the mg 100hdfx 100 watt amp head ?

Yes you can as long as the speaker impedance when paralleled doesn't go below the rating of the amp. Marshall seems to hide their design lowest output impedance. Possibly you can find that in your owner's manual. Then find the impedance of the JBL. If half the JBL impedance is equal to or greater than the lowest impedance the Marshall is rated, you are fine to use it. The speaker Watt rating should always be bigger than the amp rating which it is in this case.

I am looking to buy a 1200 watt jensen 2 channel amp. what model is this? is there a jensen 1200, i have not seem it.

I would recommend you purchase a brand name 600watt RMS amp instead of a Jensen 1200 watt peak amp. Trust me you will notice the difference. Try a kicker, hifonics, MTX, audiobahn Autotech... Its not the watts its the quality of the watts..

JBL SR4732 amps????

I have a pair of these. Best audio thing I ever did. One amp as the the crossover is built into the amp. If you can find the compatible dual 18s then you'd need a second amp. Recently read a spec that they drop to 20 hz at 10 volts. So when you turn up the volume they rock with the bass truly showing a peak of their capability. These are just amazing. I originally used a crown xri4000. Just bought a Nad T 877 HT and when run only in stereo with QObuz, pretty incredible. Not the final purpose of this amp though. I may use the line outs to integrate the Crown Amps. Still getting an idea. So One powerful amp. You won't blow these out.
