I replace the capacitor board and am having trouble finding which connectors go in where. I have looked for a wiring diagram and all it gives me is the service manual...help.

The Ambient Air Temperature Sensor is what you want , an it is located in front of the a/c condenser . remove

1. the pin-type retainers and remove the radiator sight shield

1. Disconnect the connector.

Did you find a wire that has become disconnected from the board and is loose inside the TV or did you see a empty connector with nothing connected to it? If you find a wire that has become disconnected and it is nearby the board simply reconnect it. If you're worried about a connector with nothing connected and there is no obvious loose wires near it, you are looking at the test connector TV repair technicians use to trouble shoot the board with. This ia normal.

1. Pull out the plug before you hurt somebody

2. Google the make and model number and add wiring diagram to the search parameters. Something like this:

From your post you seem to be fairly handy with a screwdriver. Take it further apart and look for a burned spot; if it blows the circuit breaker for the outlet, it probably has a big black spot somewhere to give you a clue. You don't have much to lose at this point, it is already pretty worthless in its present condition.

There should be a fuse in the incoming electrical line inside the microwave cabinet; I'm surprised it has not blown before the breaker. Make sure nobody has bypassed the fuse.

There may be a large capacitor that could hold a charge and give you a shock. See upper diagram for an example. [you did unplug the microwave, didn't you?] if you see the capacitor you can short out the terminals on it with a screwdriver and it may make a fairly loud snap as it discharges; better the screwdriver than your finger.

The damage is probably on the control board. The control board may cost as much as a new microwave, but you'll have all the fun of taking it all apart to find out.

this kind of problem need trouble shooting then if you don't have an idea or experience you need qualified technician. anyway i can give you some guide so if you want to fix with your own . what you need is digital tester and capacitor checker much better. then open the back cover to access all the board for trouble shooting, smell burnt parts first and connectors. and then look for the power supply disconnect the connectors going to load side to isolate excessive load. then try to re connect the connector and turn on the TV check voltage going to control board, check busted fusible link observe the light indicator.then check voltage going to Y and Z sustain board if present, check all the fusible link if busted, check the Vs and the Va voltage.

For privacy purposes diagrams are not included when you buy a product. It's not available online too. It's either you can go somewhere in your place to ask for same motherboard or check the board again and hope that there's a voltage indicator mark on the board.

if you look at the connector, there will be 1 white wire on the end.. if you match that up with the other end, the wires should go 1 2 3 4 5 all in a line. those connectors are surface mount and will rip off the board really easy, if the connector ripped off the board (likely) then I would go for a new circuit board

Don't tthink you will find a diagram for it but pull te capacitor out andtake it to a motor rewinding shop or any electronics store and they can give you the size and value for the capactor. They have manuals to figure out the farad capacity.

I don't have real specific info, but it looks like pins 2 (red) to pin 3 (black, common) should be 13 VDC (constant, not pulsed DC as in LG models) pin 1 (tan) is a transmit / receive and pins 4 (violet) and 5 (white) are dispenser board output to main board input. They don't really tell me which does what. Looks like there is a water relay (K6) on the main board. You did make sure the dispenser is not in the locked setting, right? (locked would give no dispenser functions, including ice dispense)

it seems that you are talking about the two wires that fit onto the back of the board where there is a black component that is square on the right hand side when looking from the front the wires fit within the black unit. i cannot remember which way around though. i will post again when i next do a wma repair ,tony.
