Paypal will deposit two very small amounts (for example, 23 cents and 47 cents) to your "default" checking account to verify that it is legitimate. You have to report the exact mount of each of those deposits to Paypal to prove that you are the account holder. Paypal will then "verify" your account with them. Some financial organizations "lump" very small deposits together in their reporting - if your bank or Credit Union does this, you must ask them to tell you the exact amount of all deposits.

SOURCE: change my reference credit card on pay pal

As per Paypal:
Question : Can I register a credit card on more than one PayPal account?
Answer : No. For your security, you can register a credit card on just one PayPal account at a time. You may, however, register several different credit cards on a single PayPal account.

If your credit card was registered to a different PayPal account, you need to log in to the previous account and remove the card before adding it to your new account. To remove credit cards from your account click Profile at the top of the page and click the Credit/Debit Cards link in the Financial Information column.
Question : What if I forgot my email address?
Answer :

  1. Go to the PayPal homepage and click Problem with login?.
  2. Click I don’t know what email address I used.
  3. Enter up to 3 email addresses you might have used to sign up for your PayPal account.
  4. Enter the code shown in the image.
  5. Click Continue and follow the instructions.

Question : What if I forgot my password or my password has been locked?
Answer : Here's how to create a new password.
  1. Go to the PayPal homepage and click Problem with login?
  2. Select one of the following:
    • If you know your email address, click I don’t know my password. Then enter your email address.
    • If you don’t know your email address, click I don’t know either one. Enter up to 3 email addresses you might have used to sign up for your PayPal account.

SOURCE: I would like to cancel

If there's no balance or transaction with the forgotten account, you need not to worry, it'll automatically be deactivated after few months but your original/existing account will be functioning properly without any hindrance or obstruction. When an account is not active or transaction being done for several months, paypal will send you an email to your email address with the message describing about the deactivation of the account, if you don't take any action, it'll be deactivated.

It's better if you can at least remember the email address [Note: your username is your email address] of your account so that you can deactivate it yourself. But still you can try to close it using the "Forgotten your email address or password?" form.
To recover your email address and your your password, use this form...
Forgotten your email address? (you'll need to provide your name full name, zip code, phone number)
To reset your password use this form;
Forgotten your password? (you'll need to provide your email address)
After you retrieve your password or recover your email address, login to your paypal account, click "profile" and select "Close Account" from the options available, you'll be presented with a warning if you are sure or not, click yes and continue with it.

I hope you could understand my instructions, if you have problem with my instructions, please let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I want to purchase some sandals but they say there is a problem with pay pal . Can I please pay for the item by card ?

does this site have a pay pal payment option ?
if yes click on pay pal and when you get to the pal pal screen there may be an option that says I don't have a pay pal account.
click on this and you will go to a pay via pay pal using a credit card screen.

I had paypal disable my pay pal account and once they do this they give you absolutely no way of getting it enabled. So I used the above method to pay via pay pal without a pay pal account.

How can I HAND IN CASH TO MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT

get a credit card - you could go down to the post office and get a load and go card. Very handy for internet purchases on sites without pay pal option. Works like a credit card and you can go into Post office and to pit up with cash. You could also hook it up to your pay pal account or add a bank account to your pay pal account see my other answer for more info on adding a bank account to pay pal as you posted this question twice.

My name is James (Jim) Bower, I have used the [email protected] and [email protected] sign ons regulary. My wife ,Kimberlee Bower has never had an account with pay pal.It seams also that out joint...

JIM , the major problem is your method of communication.
hackers regularly patrol forum sites and now they have all of your e-mail addresses and where you do business
Pay pal is a secure site so any problems, you contact them direct by phone on their web page listed phone number
Make arrangement with them to change your account details and never put details on a forum site again

That 1.98 transaction is for verification purposes only. You will be able to get the 4-digit PIN on Monday and then you'll be OK. Still, you don't need to verify your account in order to pay for that service.

Okay I will be happy to assist you in this issue.
you must apply for a pay pal account, they will let you know how much you are allowed to used. After you purchase something in the ebay or any other item in the internet it is safe to pay with pay pal account, but be careful these so many SPAM, pay pal will NEVER ask you neither for you account #, SS# if you received something FISHY report it to [email protected] they will send you a note saying "you was right".
Is very safe to use pay pal account just be careful using it.
