My t mobile g1 can send and receive text messages go on the internet check e mails and make calls
It will not however receive them I've disabled the forwardin to make sure it wasn't that and rebooted the phone and have done factory reset how do I go about fixing this issue
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

You need to have the interent package to do that. If you dont there are some settings that can bypass that:
Menu > Setting > Wireless controls > Mobile networks > Access point names
Once you get in there, scroll down until you see T-Mobile US and input the following settings:
Name = T-Mobile US
APN = wap.voicestream.com
Proxy = 216.155.165.050
Password = None (delete the 4 digit PW that is there)
Server = Not set (also delete the 1 digit PW there)
MMSC = Unchanged (do not change it)
MMS proxy = 216.155.165.050
MMS port = 8080
MCC, MNC, and APN type all stay they was they are.
Now as far as remembering the old information goes, you can always go into T-Mobile US 160 (right below T-Mobile US), which has all the same settings as T-Mobile US including the password. All you have to do is copy and paste it.

Check to confirm in security settings under settings > security setttings > call barring service/ that your out going calls have not been barred.
If all is in order, that is no barred calls, then contact your mobile service operators.
Hope this helps.

Hi there. It sounds like there is something wrong at the carrier end, not wrong with your phone. Call your providers support line and ask for technical assistance to make sure that the network has no problems in your area. They should have a solution, or at least an explanation for you. Alex
