I cancelled what was in my cart but it said I have "3 saved items" which I want to cancel at this time. How do I do this? I am new at this. Was experimenting.

if you have added stuff to your cart simply click on the cart icon and click on remove. you only have them on "watch" so you are not committed to buy them

You do not have to cancel your account.
Go to My Account and scroll down the screen a bit until you see 'Settings' in brown text on the left. Looking immediately to the right now, select (in blue text) 'Change Account Settings' (click on that). On the page that appears at the top is a box which offers the option to change about 4 things - one is 'E-mail' - click on the Edit button for that item, and follow instructions.
If you must close your account Amazon say "To close your account, please contact us to request that your account be closed."

Dear Margaret,

To remove them, first log into your Amazon account. Then click on the cart to view the list of items you shopped for earlier.
In the list of items of your shopping cart, in the left side of the display, you will see a picture of the item you selected with some data about it by its side. Just at the bottom of this data, there is a link in blue named 'Delete'. Click on it and your item will be removed from your shopping cart.
