I just bought a 2003 dodge ram 1500 with 4.7 L. It is single climate control. So, both sides blow out strong. When I turn the heat on, passenger side get hot, and driver side stays cool. When I turn the air on, driver side gets cold, but passenger side not so much. Also, The knob that controls how much air comes out works fine. Other than what I stated above, the knob that controls the climate works, but the knob that controls where it blows does not work, it blows only through main vents no matter what setting. I don't know if it helps, as im told, that knob in these year models does not run on vacuum. Also, my cruise control does not work, and the light does not come on either when its pressed. There are no codes showing, and I ran a test anyway, just in case, and no codes popped up.
If you have a tilt wheel, you may have a broken wire, replace the whole colunmb also,,,,,,,,,,,,,(pics)look for 2 and 7 ,,blend door actuators,,
