My yellow imaging unit is on back order, is there anyway to still use the printer until it gets here
Yellow imaging unit is on back order, I don't need to print color is there anyway around the error code? It will be three weeks before the new one gets here
Re: my yellow imaging unit is on back order, is there...
Basically -no. If you could get a reset chip for it, you could probably carry on using the original drum for some time. For example http://www.tonerstop.com.au/konica-minolta-bizhub-c353-bundled-set-of-4-compatible-drum-chips
thanks, I ordered the chips today while I wait for my yellow imaging unit to arrive!!!thanks, I ordered the chips today while I wait for my yellow imaging unit to arrive!!!

Xerox 7435 error code 041-340 indicates a problem with the yellow imaging unit. Here are some steps to solve the error:
Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
Remove the yellow imaging unit and check for any damage or leaks.
If the imaging unit appears to be in good condition, reinsert it firmly and make sure it is properly seated.
Turn the printer back on and check if the error message has disappeared.
If the error persists, try replacing the yellow imaging unit with a new one.
If replacing the imaging unit doesn't solve the problem, you may need to call a technician to troubleshoot the issue further.
It's worth noting that error code 041-340 can also be caused by issues with the developer housing, toner cartridge, or other components. If none of the above steps work, it's best to contact Xerox support for assistance.
I have a few questions for you to try and answer.
Firstly have you removed the transfer belt assembly if so have you fitted it correctly, the belt has a silver marker fitted to the underside of the belt for the belt edge sensor to read. Is the sensor window covered with toner? If I'm not mistaken you can move the image units between the Cyan, Magenta and Yellow I you have a service contract you can get replacements for your faulty units. The level of detail you proffer is quite detailed so you must have had your machine in lots of bits, several times. It might be better to get touch with your local dealer and get one of the local Xerox engineers in to sort it for you.
Sorry,
Good luck with the problem.
Sir/Mam, have you replaced the yellow image unit ? Not the yellow toner cartridge. There two seperate units. Also there are on each image unit blue/white nubs that you can pull out and push back in to clean interal image unit parts do that you do not have to pull the image units out just ensure that when done cleaning they are pushed all the way back in. Once the image units are not toner cartridge and there are four of them located below each toner cartridge .

Solution : Replace the Imaging Unit
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or clothing. This will set the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If any Toner gets on your skin or clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, blow it off, or wash it off with cold water and mild soap. Do not drop or shake the Imaging Unit after it has been removed from the printer as Toner spills can occur. Do not expose the Imaging Unit to any light source for more than five minutes. Prolonged exposure to light may damage the unit. Cover the Imaging Unit with a light shield (such as a sheet of paper). Do not touch the shiny blue Transfer Belt.
Power OFF the printer using the power switch located on the left side of the printer, toward the back. Press the power switch to the OFF (O) position.
Press the button on the top right side of the printer to open the Front Cover.
Locate the Imaging Unit, and then turn the four twist-locks to the left to unlock the unit.
Grasp the Imaging Unit by its peach-colored pull-tabs on the top edge. Pull the unit forward and up, and then out of the printer.
Place the used Imaging Unit in a bag and make sure the bag is properly sealed before discarding or recycling.
Remove the new Imaging Unit from the shipping container and the sealed package.
CAUTION: Do not remove the orange protective cover from the front of the unit until it has been installed in the printer. This will protect the Transfer Belt from being touched during installation.
Place the Imaging Unit on a flat surface. Hold the unit firmly with one hand and with the other hand grasp the end tab of one sealing tape and pull the tape straight out, horizontally. Repeat for the remaining tapes; there are eight tapes in total. Make sure none of the tapes have broken. Discard of the tapes as normal office waste.
NOTE: If any tape breaks off with the remainder inside the Imaging Unit, stop the installation and contact Support.
Grasp the new Imaging Unit by its peach-colored pull-tabs on the top edge and install the unit in the printer. Make sure to insert the unit into the guides in the printer, and then push the unit all the way back into the printer.
Turn the four twist-locks to the right, to lock the unit.
Pull the orange protective cover out and then down from the top, center of the Imaging Unit.
Close the Front Cover.
Power ON (') the printer. A 'Ready to Print' message will be displayed on the Display Screen.
Try swapping out the yellow imaging unit with another color, such as cyan. Print out several test pages, if it continues to dump yellow toner then it is probably a bad developer. If it changes to cyan then it is a bad image unit. If you need another image unit the part# is 108R00581, you can buy a rebuilt one here to save you money. If you suspect it is a bad developer you may want to take your printer to get repaired because it is not an easy fix. Hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa!
Bottom line is that your yellow drum is failing. Back ground is very common on this model with older drums. It is not related to temperature. Your best answer is to replace drum. Always make sure machine is turned off durning any drum (imaging unit) change. If the high cost is something you don't want jump into then. Always run very short runs until error code E0000020 apprears. The irC3200 series is without a doubt is predicable. If your going to have an imaging issue it will for sure apprear between 10-20 copiers. If your colour changes to a muddy yellow or brown smear than it will be a cleaning blade failure. These two replaces are easy to do. Good Luck.
That's the Image Unit. It should also tell you what color. C, M, Y, K. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. Image units are seperate from Toner cartridges and don't need to be replaced as often. You will also hear people call it a Drum Unit. That's the same thing.
On the topmost part of the printer, there are four buttons in the following order (top to bottom): Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.
Besides the four button is another button with 4 dots (Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow with a rotating arrow), press this once and you will see that the Yellow button on the left will light up, press it again and the light besides Magenta will light up and so on. Anyway, you get the idea.
Just keep on pressing it until the light besides Yellow lights up again. When it does, lift the top cover of your printer and insert the yellow toner.
Try cleaning the Laser Unit for Yellow. Try replacing the Imaging Unit for Yellow, or simply take it out and move it to another color.... if the problem occurs on the the other color then it is definitely your Imaging Unit. One of those two is probably causing your issue.
