Will not start. have check fuel, fuel line, oil, air filter, gas filter, spark plug.
Karl is probably right. Ok you can try this,,Drain all the gas from the tank,Put one cup of gas in the tank. Now get some starter fluid, spray 1 second worth of it in the tank. Now try and start the mower. When it starts let it run for a minute or two. Now cut it off.Now fill the tank with the rest of the new gas.(New gas bought recently.)This should work.If not You may have carb problems.
Likely the old gas is gunked up
remove the screw on the bowl bottom an look for a tiny hole thats plugged going across the bottom of screw.
if no screw an bowl then its just gunked up lines.

Hi Every 2 stoke engine needs three things to run:Fuel+oil/air mixture in correct proportions, compression and ignition.Remove the sparkplug and see if the spark appears when the piston in the cilinder is at top death point(almoust),if not check the flyweel key(not to be sheared).Check engine"s sealing(crankcase gasket, cilinder gasket,seals-crankshaft,carb gasket). Also the mufller(not to be clogged),disassembly the carb (check and clean it),fuel lines and fuel filter (check and clean them),gas cap tank vent(not to be clogged),the air filter. Please let me know. best regards savumihai71

The problem you are having is due to dirt and gunk in the carbeurator. Spray a carbeurator cleaner into the air chamber [remove the air filter] and run it a couple of times then let it sit for two hours while the carbeurator cleaner does its job of dissolving any debris. Then start it up. IF this does it, great, if not repeat the cleaning technique.
If all of this doesn't do it, then the carbeurator will have to be removed and either replaced or rebuilt.
SOURCE: Troy built 6.5 21" lawn mower won't start
take the carb bowl off it may have water in it , that will make it not run
SOURCE: Mower will not start. Have gas, air, and spark.
I am assuming this is a newer mower troy with a brigs on it, that being said there is a small plastic tube (intake tube) on the other side of the carburator that you can acess by taking the heat sheild off of the front of the mower. These are natorios for cracking or braking which would cause a huge vacume leak and a no start condition. They are about 10 bucks and take 10 min. to replace.

If you are putting fuel on to th fillter and it fires it sounds like the choke is not working right. Take of the air fillter and look to see if the butterfly is fully shut when pulled on. If it is a primmer pump look in to see if there is any fuel comming up when pumped if they are both working then try putting fuel into the plug hole and see if it fires if it does then it is a fuel problemTake off the carb again know you said it is clean but remove the main jet valve in the centre of the carb and clean it every hole blew out and 100% spot less rebuild carb and refit to mower hopefully that should short you outl davidson lawn mower tech
