Kohler only make the engines Paula. Your issue is with the pump or water supply to it.. Better if you took it for service. First though, did it work before using the same water supply hose? I have two hoses, one in the garage and one in the garden. One hose has a non-return valve in the end and when you screw in the power washer connector it shuts off the flow. I have to slacken it off and let it leak a bit or use the other hose with no non-return valve. http://www.kohlerengines.com/engines/onlinecatalog/pdf/14_590_02_0109_eng.pdf
More details on the pressure washer rather than the engine.
Husqvarna are traditionally 5/8", but some of the newer mowers powered by a Honda engine could be 13/16. You can pickup a 3 pc spark plug wrench set for under $10.
check spark plug sounds it s heating up to much make sure of oil level and if it has been sitting a while dump the gas in it and fill it with new and buy some sea foam and add a little to the gas
check and see if it's getting spark by removing the plug from the engine and keeping it plugged into the wire, lay the plug on the head and turn the engine over and look to see if the spark is jumping accross the gap. if it's blue your ok if it yellow you'll have to replace ignition modual..good luck
