Perhaps you (accidentally) switched the card to lock? or pressed the write protect button for some pictures?
Make sure the lock switch on the card is in the up position like on the picture:

Every time i turn the volume above 46 my sony home audio center goes in protect mode

Hi
if an amplifier goes to protection mode it basically means that there is "A short on the speaker connections"..pls replace the speaker connection of the "CENTER " to make sure even a tiny cable lead not to touch the other ( + and - )...by this means pls check all the other speaker connections as well..if problem persists please let me know for further help..

I own a panasonic radio/cd player. It says dvd audio advanced progressive scan on the top of the unit. When i turned it on the display screen displayed hello but cut off and said f61 and the power cut off....

F61 usually means the amp has detected a short or a severe microprocessor error.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

How can unlock protect for kenwood sku me10252? It's car cd player, pls help me! Thanks!

there is no code for unlocking protect. if it is in protect, you have either shorted speaker wires or speakers or a bad output ic in the deck itself. try checking your speakers, make sure the terminals aren't shorted to the chassis or door skin. also make sure you have no bare spots on your speaker wires.

My kenwood head deck kdc-mp6036 shows on the screen protect what's wrong with it

Hi,

A "PROTECT" message/display normally indicates a problem with your speaker or your speaker wires. Pls check for any open or shorted (busted speakers) or if any of the wires are touching the chassis/ground.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My audio system says protect on display

Hi Jean,

Without a brand and a model, best that I can provide are generic possibilities:
1. unplug the unit from the mains for a couple of hours. This is supposedly to reset most systems; and/or
2. check the speaker wires and make sure none of any bare wires are touching each other.

If your concern has not been corrected after completion of the above procedures, pls post back brand and model.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
