SOURCE: Clutch issues: release clutch and mower doesnt move.

"....I just took off the right rear tire to replace."

Make sure the key hasnt fallen out of the right rear tire. It has to have the key to work. Its a peice of metal about 3 inches long and flat on all sides. It should slip into the grove on the tires shaft. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: lawn tractor won't stay running if clutch is released.

There is an operator presence switch under the seat...it is more than likely faulty and must be replaced in order for the mower to run right.

SOURCE: Craftsman riding mower won't move.

yes it is a bad belt unless it is a hydro-stat(no clutch) you need to look under the mower and see if the belt is on correctly

SOURCE: Snapper Hi-Vac riding mower that won't start with starter

You may need a 300cca battery, an ignition switch or a solenoid to get things going again. I also would check to make sure the starter gear has not locked in the flywheel teeth; it will burn up the starter. You should be able to go to the snapper website and put your model of mower in and find the parts and diagrams you need.
Good Day.

Why does my mower shoot foreward when i put it in foreward even with the clutch/brake in and while its in park

It sounds like a belt that's sticking in pulleys or belt not releasing when clutch/brake is pushed down. Is it gear driven or hydrostatic?

2 things, one, the belt jumped track, broke, or melted in place, 2, the hydrostatic ****** is out of oil, you didn't say if it was hydro or not. I doubt that the gear box has gone bad, but I would put more blame on a belt or pulley. Check it out. Hope this helps.

check the connecting rod to the tranny. follow the gear handle and you should find a rod connecting the handle to the axle make sure you're in neutral and adjust the rod until the handle starts to move

Wont move forward or reverse-- transmission??

Does it have gears or a hydrostatic (automatic) transmission?

If it's a gear model, sounds like a loose drive belt.

If it's hydrostatic, it could be a belt problem or a problem inside the transmission. If it's a tranmission problem, this is not good. Many of the transmissions on riding lawn mowers are not serviceable - they are just replaced.

Mower will not move while in gear

check to see if there is a second belt for the transmission, you may have nicked that belt or put the pulley tession to the wrong bulley.
