WhenI let go of the safety handle the mower will not turn off unless I let go of the handle slowly to a certain spot and then it will turn off. Any suggestions? Thanks Dave

If you follow the cable to the engine look at bracket you will see the mechanics of the emergency shut off and look close there will be a white clip with a black wire under it the clip is spring loaded push up on clip the wire comes off clean and reassemble make sure the clip is touching metal when the handle is not held down if not adjust so with handle completely released the metal part of the white clip touches metal there you go have a great day

I HAVE A HUSQVARNA ZERO TURN MOWER RZ4824F - IT STALLS AFTER I TAKE THE BRAKE OFF, WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE?

Check the brake switch. Or all of the safety switches that will not let you operate unit unless certain conditions are met. If one is stuck in wrong position this might account for the issue.

The lawn mower blades lock up and will not start

Did you pull the safety handle back all the way. or has it slipped so it doesn't work right. That is what the little safety handle is made to do not only to shut the engine off but stop the blades.
Has the engine seized up? Just ideas.
Is there junk that is holding the blades from turning.

How do I adjust brake/clutch start on troy bilt 42in riding lawnmower

Sounds like a safety switch is not working right. Mine won't start unless I pull back on the handle that engages the blades. If I make sure that handle is pulled up as far as it will go it starts. I disconnected the safety for the seat because when I turned my body the seat moved and shut the unit off and its a new machine.

Put mower in reverse, turned it off and mower

There are safety interlocks on zero turn mowers. These prevent starting unless you have: 1. the handles in 'neutral' position 2. the brake on 3. the mower engagement (PTO) switch off 4. yourself in the seat.
Chances are one of these conditions hasn't been met. Since you were reversing when it happened, perhaps you haven't got the handles back to neutral position?

I started mower in tall grass. It started up and immediately stopped. Could not get it started. Replaced battery. Charged 12 hours. Still will not operate. Green light is on. Noticed the blade seems to...

After charging the mower, you must place the safety key in the mower before it will start. On models that have a bail handle, be sure to pull the bail handle back to the mower handle before engaging the start lever. If your mower still does not start, remove the safety key and ensure the bail and start lever are in the "off" position. Then firmly re-insert the safety key, pull the bail handle to the mower handle and engage the start lever.

Note - It is important that the bail and start lever are returned to the "off" position before inserting the safety key.
Give it try, if it still will not operate you may have to take it in for service.
Good luck, let me know.
