Re: Paper Holder has broken off, how can I get a new one?
I would suggest you buy a new one.They start out at around $50 bucks and up or try craigs list and or the classified adds there they are even cheaper 10 to 20 dollars

Remove the new cartridge and check that the holder has not broken. When the lever is moved it should squeeze the holder together. If this is all ok then clean the gold contacts in the holder with a damp cotton bud. If this all fails then its just possible the new cartridge is a bad one and needs exchanging for a good one.

You must google to find the manufacture to find if anything is still available; but I have 2 ideas : 1. form a hard wire loop (from coat hanger or #12 guage steel wire) and attach this wire loopto the back of calculator case with screws (you'll need to make an eye loop at one end for the screw to go through). 2. make a small wood block that sits on the desk or table and make a wire loop that is held by the wood block and of course the paper roll is held by the wire loop. Pulling paper out of a printer "backwards" will usually break a gear that is made to feed the paper in one direction.
Epson should be able to sell you the new gear and also when you order it - ask for the installation information or Service Manual to cover the replacement of the broken gear!! It helps a lot in putting the new gear in.
Sorry to say, but you probably won't be able to get a replacement part from anyone, unless you find a used broken printer. Those printers are so cheap that no one has any parts for them. Technicians couldn't justify the charge for fixing one. Better to either live with the break or buy a new printer.
