Put it into settings and then adjust time/date. It's not related in any way to temperature.

I lost the instructions for the talking Reizen atomic clock and both of them are now an hour off. How do I reset the time?

You need to change the 'Zone' settings on both; the signal from Boulder, CO can't tell where you are, you have to make the correction locally and then they will track the signal accurately as long as they can receive it.

The internet explorer started automated in different time

Double click on the clock in lower right of desktop task bar. Change date and time to proper settings and change the time zone if needed. Be sure to check the "Automatically adjust clock for DST" box if you are in a zone that observes Daylight Savings (uncheck for Arizona and Hawaii). Switch to Internet Time tab and change settings. Check Synchronize with an internet time server and click Update Now. If Windows time server is unreachable switch to NIST server; [ time.nist.gov ]. National Institute of Standards and Technology is the federal technology agency that works with industry to develop and apply technology, measurements, and standards; much more reliable. If clock and calendar are reset everytime the 'puter is powered off, then you will need to replace the CMOS battery.

Daylight savings time changes at wrong date on my brookstone 'smartset' alarm clock. (It changes at the old date, of course - so it is wrong 4 times a year...)

The DST schedule is hardwired into the older clocks and cannot be modified to run on the new schedule. If the clock has a DST switch, you can can turn it OFF and reset the clock only twice a year. On my old "ATOMIC" clock, I've set the DST function OFF, and I use the time zone switch for my adjustments. Sorry, but your only other choice is a new clock.

Oregon Scientific Model 323a--Atomic clock...the atomic clock keeps setting itself to one hour behind what time it actually is in my time zone...I mannually re-set the clock to the correct time...but when...

Make sure that the clock is set for the correct time zone and that the DST (Daylight Saving Time) function is ON. Also, although not mentioned in the manuals, these clocks will typically jump and hour ahead or behind when the batteries get weak. Replace your batteries if they are more than a year old.

I got the clock from my daughter and have no manual. I keep setting the time, and it keeps changing to 2 hours earlier. I think I've pretty much figured out everything else, though this is NOT intuitive.

Hi, your clock radio is an atomic clock radio... no wait you don't need your lead underwear! it receives a signal from the atomic clock and sets the time to match it, after you set the time zone and put it on auto dst you will never have to set the time again!

ENVIRONMENTAL RECEPTION EFFECTS:

The Atomic Clock obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the receiving ability may be affected by, but not limited to, the following circumstances:

  • Long transmitting distance.
  • Nearby mountains and valleys.
  • Among tall buildings.
  • Near railway, high voltage cable, etc.
  • Near freeway, airport, etc.
  • Near construction site.
  • Inside concrete buildings.
  • Near electrical appliances.
  • Near computers and televisions.
  • Bad weather locally or electrical storms between you and Colorado.
  • Inside moving vehicles.
  • Nearby metallic structures.

LOCATION PRECAUTIONS:

This clock receives a radio wave much like a TV or radio. Be sure to locate it near a window or some other location where reception is good. Avoid the following locations, which can interfere with proper reception.

Synchronization signal reception can be received in Continental USA only. In other areas, you can still use this clock by making time settings manually.

QUICKSTART

  1. Place your clock in a location with optimal signal marks on the LCD.
  2. It is recommended to put the clock near a window. Please move the clock to another location if difficulty in signal reception or unstable signal marks is encountered.

Installation
Simply plug the SkyScan clock radio into any household outlet.

Battery Back-up Operation
This clock radio is equipped with alarm time memory that can be powered with a 9-volt battery (not included). When normal household power is interrupted, or the AC cord is unplugged, the battery will power the clock to keep track of the time and set alarm. When the backup battery activates, the LCD backlight is off, however, the functions of alarm and radio still operate.

To Install the Battery
  1. Remove the battery cover at the bottom of the case.
  2. Connect a 9-volt battery to the connector plug.
  3. Insert the battery in the compartment and replace the cover.
Note: An Alkaline battery is recommended. Carbon Zinc and rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries not recommended.

Set the Time Zone Press the SET button in sequence until you see PST(Pacific Standard Time)blinking below the time digits on the LCD. Press UP or DOWN button to select your time zone.

Daylight Savings Time
Always slide the DST switch to ON position unless the clock is used in an area without Daylight Savings Time.
**Special attention to usage in Arizona and Indiana. **Arizona and parts of Indiana do not recognize Daylight Savings Time (DST). Turn the DST off if the clock is used in these areas.

Cheers!
