This happens because of some mistakes in the time of installation. I am sharing the common issues during installation and how to overcome this.

Inappropriate separating: To stay away from buckling, subfloor boards ought to be separated with a 1/8-inch gap at all edges and closures to give space to normally occurring extension. Tongue-and-depression edges on numerous superior floor boards, for example, Weyerhaeuser's Edge Gold® OSB boards, are intended to self-hole.

Utilizing green joists: Wet timber may prompt dimensional changes as the joists dry, resulting in nail pops and floor squeaks. Use Trus Joist® TJI® joists or oven dried, execution tried wood, for example, Weyerhaeuser Framer Series® lumber, which is more dimensionally stable than green timber.
Not letting a subfloor dry: Continuously store floor boards under cover. OSB uncovered amid development must be permitted to dry (particularly before introducing delicate complete materials, for example, hardwood flooring). Edge Gold incorporates protected Down Pore®grooves that assistance shed standing water and a restrictive edge seal to diminish edge swell.

Inappropriate nailing: To maintain a strategic distance from nail pops, pullouts, and shiners (nails that scarcely hit the joist), all of which can cause squeaks, utilize the right nail size and separating, and guarantee the nails enter the floor joists and sink completely.

Renouncing paste: A paste nailed development strategy is ideal for guaranteeing a level, stable floor. Utilize a dissolvable based paste that meets ASTM D3498 execution guidelines; in situations where latex subfloor stick is required, cautious determination is important because of the wide scope of execution between brands.

Inappropriate glue application: Apply glue per maker's determinations. Make certain the joists are dry and free of soil before applying. Numerous producers suggest applying a consistent ¼-inch-breadth stick dot to encircling individuals and utilizing a serpentine example for backings that are 3½ inches or more extensive. Apply two drops of paste to board joint areas; a 1/8-inch stick dab connected at the tongue-and-score joints can additionally enhance floor execution.

Let the glue be dry: If the glue remains wet, it will lose a portion of its quality or may not bond by any stretch of the imagination. Apply sufficiently just paste for a couple of boards at once, and totally attach each board before the paste is set. Check producer specs for setting times, and remember that warm climate can quicken those occasions.

Hammering edges: Utilizing a heavy hammer to constrain a tongue and section joint together firmly can pound the wood filaments, harming both the board hit and also the one it is constrained into. Further, it can shut everything down essential hole on board edges, prompting inappropriate dividing issues referenced previously. Some excellent boards, for example, Edge Gold, are intended to fit together effortlessly. In the event that extra power is required, dependably utilize a square of wood against the section edge to limit harm to the board, and dependably permit a 1/8-inch hole between boards.
Recheck your work: Hardwood floor refinishingis very important after the installation. After all walk on the floor to check if there is any squeaks, missing fasteners, improper nailing, etc.

If you follow above all steps in future after installation in future you not face such problem what you are facing now.

The only causes I can think of for this would be:
1) The tool not being placed properly on the wood
2) The wrong depth shim on the foot
3) A broken nose assembly

Will not recess nail

Could be safety foot adjustment, broken driver or worn piston oring. Remove nails from gun and point nose of gun up then down again. If the driver moves within the nailer, replace oring. If driver oring ok, dry fire the gun on soft wood. The driver should leave an impression on the wood about 1/6 to 1/8 in deep. If the tip is broken, no impression will be left in the wood or the impression will be uneven. Replace driver as needed. If driver is good then adjust safety foot to level desired. Good luck

I would loike to remove my bottom nailinf fin on my pella replacment window

should not be a huge issue to trim off the bottom nailer... trim off with a razor knife being careful not to penetrate the frame. the primary concern is providing support to the frame. Using mortar and wood shims, layer mortar where the window will sit and level it using the wood shims, leaving space to remove the shims after the mortar sets... I'd recommend using screws to afix the remaining fins to the studs to lessen the loss of mortar from shifting the window during install

Nailer drives nails too deep

n80 coil nailer is a very powerful nailer used for hard wood. If the driver is setting nails too deep, adjust safety foot to the lowest level. Install safety foot no-mar boot to lift the gun even higher. If still too deep, most likely the lower bumper inside the gun is worn-out or cracked. Easy test. Remove nails and connect air supply. With trigger depressed, push and hold the gun against work (I use an old rubber hose tightly coiled up). This will fire the gun but keep the driver down allowing you to examine the tip of the driver. The driver should extend out past the nose less than quarter inch. If the driver is extending too far, most likely bumper is worn out. If a large quantity of air is leaking out the nose of gun during the test, indication that lower bumper is cracked. Good luck.

Dewalt corless nailer lost power while puting nails in wood, he is working but does not have power to go all the way in the wood

Have you been keeping the gun properly lubricated? In the high dust atmosphere of the workplace it needs cleaned & lubed frequently.

My brand new DC608 18 gauge nailer jams every time on the 2nd nail.

Per your addendum I would have first told you to check that you are using the proper guage nails. Second you should make sure you are loading the nails in the lowest channel in the magazine so they are at the bottom of the magazine. If you load them into the top of the magazine they have more time to go off course before they get into the wood.

I rented a bostitch MIIIFN to install bamboo hardwood flooring. The nailer is splitting the tongue of the wood. Is there some type of adjustment that I can do to stop the splitting?

you do not use nails to install bamboo floor! EVER!

bamboo flooring is installed on glue alone, and then some weight is put on the top to keep it down while glue is binding. this usually takes about 12 to 24h, depending on climate, temperature and humidity.

if these are standard board, they are 6' long and between 4" and 6" wide, depending on manufacturer. all ends indexed (tongue and grove) and pre-finished.

bamboo is a grass, but because of glue used in it's construction (formaldehyde) it makes it very hard, even harder than ironbark, in jenkins scale, bamboo floorboards are between 13 and 15 (pine is about 4.5, oak about 10 in this same scale)

bamboo expand as well with humidity, and you need to leave 10mm free space along the walls to allow for that expansion. this space is normally convered by skirting. skirting is usually about 19mm thick, therefore gap between 10mm and 15mm is ok.

if running board is longer than 13m, you need to leave expansion joint on it as well.

if you are installing directly on the concrete, do not forget about moisture barrier, if this is on already existing wood floor or cork, moisture barrier is not necessary, but you need to remove old paint from subfloor (sand it to "bare" wood) to allow better glue adhesion.

if you are installing bamboo over the bearers, then use some sort of subfloor and glue bamboo on the top of it. you cannot just stick bamboo to the bearers, bamboo is too thin (15mm) for that

NEVER NAIL BAMBOO FLOOR!

you use glue and sparringly pin-nails on bamboo skirtboard (even pin-nail tend to explode them...).

i hope that this short explanation will help you, it will be better actually if you ask some professional floor shop in your area how to do that...

if you are happy with my advice, please do not hesitate to leave your comments or vote (or both...) for me, thanx!

How to adjust the nailer, flooring is 5/8",so the cleats sit where it should be? How to avoid splitting the tongue on the wood?

You must put an in-line regulator at the inlet for the gun. Turn your preasure to 90 psi and use a sample board to get the fine tune adjustment at the gun. Turning down the air preasure will reduce the amount of force the anvil hits the nail with.

I have a PC nailer (Finish) It is misfiring? was working fine. Now it does not NAIL although I can see the indentation on the wood ...help!!!!

Check the magazine area near the head for a jammed nail or other feed obstruction. It sounds like the driver is hitting the wood ok. Did you change nails (brand, type, or size) when this occurred? Make sure the magazine feed spring is ok.

The nails aren't going in far enough using a air cleat nailer

I just finished 800 square feet of oak flooring with this nailer. You might have to increase the psi at the gun and make sure it gets a good square firm hit to set the nail. You can swing and hit the thing pretty hard, I hit it hard to set warped boards in place. I used 120 psi for best results, I tried 90 psi but had more misfires. The nail head only needs to set in far enough so the head is touching the tongue and so the next board will fit. The nail won't be buried into the tongue like you might think. If the occasional nail protrudes from the board you can use a nail set to drive the nail the rest of the way in, but I found that most of the nails didn't want to set by hand. I either clipped off the head with side cutters and folded over the remaining tab or did my best to set the nail if it wasn't long enough to clip. If it bends over really ugly, just carve a little wood from the groove lands on the next board to clear the nail stub. Removing the nails is difficult, it's best to let them be rather than risk damaging the flooring. Also, don't let the gun get down to the last nail. Sometimes if you try to fire the last nail on a strip it will twist and damage the flooring. Always keep a few nails in the gun just to be safe. Hope this helps.
