Check the aerial installation is ok, try another aerial on the set, maybe an indoor one.If the set is analogue/digital check that it is set to the correct source, somebody may have inadvertently fet it incorrectly.
If all fails try resetting to factory default through the remote control menus, the option will be there somewhere.
If that does not sort it, you will probably need the services of a technician.

Two or three heads are better than one, ask friends for suggestions too

Good Luck with it

Is there a cord that connects my tv to my dish box? It is a VIP 211k.

Ethan Lensch,

I can definitely provide more assistance with this. The TV doesn't connect to the dish itself. The cable from the dish goes into a switch, then from the switch it runs in to your receiver.

On the back of the receiver is a "SAT IN" slot. Verify the cable plugged in there is hand tight, and follow it back making sure any other connections you see are tight. If the signal doesn't return, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in.

If the signal is still out when it powers back on, run a check switch test. This is done by going to Menu > System Setup > Installation > Point Dish > Check Switch > Test. When it is done it will either go back to the Check Switch screen, or give you a message. If it takes you back to the screen, exit out and see if signal returned.

If the signal still isn't returning, or you get a message saying "Fewer satellites dectected", let me know here or by email at [email protected] and I can look into getting a tech out to fix this!

I have a tedelex plasma tv the model of the plasma is ec pd300 . on any in put the plasma says there no signal

if any of the component input doesn't work or not recognized a source the cause will be a bad signal input board. check for bad component like open resistance and burnt parts.

The input dvd screen says no signal and the DVD player doesn't seem to have any power.

If it is in warranty return it---parts for the DVD unit are not available--they would have to replace the entire DVD unit inside the set.

It saying .. No Sync what does that mean?

No Sync indicates that the input signal doesn't match the type of signal that the TV can read. A digital source going to an analog input could cause the issue.

What is your source for the signal?

If you are using the DVI connection on the TV to connect to a computer, try using the VGA input instead. Unfortunately not all TVs can interpret the computer's digital signal. (It is different than the digital signal from a set top box.)

The manual for the TV is available from the product site: http://insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/IS-LCDTV32.html . The direct link to the manual is: http://insigniaproducts.com/cms/documents/IS-LCDTV32%20UM%20EN_SP_FR.pdf .

Please add a comment with your source and I will offer additional suggestions for solving the error.

I hope this helps.

I am connecting a RCA DVD player (DRC277B) to my TV and have problems when using the HDMI cable. When I connect the unit using the AV Cable, things work OK. I then turned off everything and hooked...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Two things that will cause the “No Signal” message to come up are - no data available for closed captioning and a weak signal input. Your TV is in the Closed Captioning Mode. To turn it off simply bring up the on screen menu and scroll down to the part that says closed captioning and turn this function off! With the closed captioning block displayed and the program being viewed is not sending out closed captioning signals the TV will display, No signal!

If this doesn’t resolve your issue then the problem may be with the processor failing and it is causing a random read of the EPROM to display the not available message. I’ll suggest you to run the HDMI from the PVR (personal video recorder) directly to the TV (mute the TV), and then run the optical audio from the PVR directly into the receiver's optical in. The closed captioning is something that is addressed in analog broadcasts, but not necessarily digital broadcasts

Try using Component cables if this doesn’t make a difference. After using components cables the issue will be resolved. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

The picture doesn`t fit the screen. Daewoo DWX-28W5GB telly

Sometimes the box that sends the signal to the TV preconditions the signal to 4x3 or 16x9, depending on the capability of the TV. I always opt to the "no fit" option and allow the intelligence of the TV to fit the screen.

If you have "off air" TV signal without that preconditioning, I cant help.
