Gprs settings of bsnl

gprs is talk only. Data must be Edge and up.

It is pearl 8100.They need the phone model and not the company.By the way BIS only works for blackberry and not bsnl gprs.to activate the Blackberry Plans just call 1505 or 1800 180 1505 from BSNL

For the GPRS setting you have to communicate with mobile carrier

im using airtel gsm sim ,so i want to activate gprs so give the manual settings of blackberry pearl of 8100 series

first of all activate gprs by sending am message bsnl... ask customer care for the details

then for the settings
go to options------>advanced options------>scroll down to tcp......
enter settings as...apn. . : gprssouth.cellone.in username for apn : ppp password : 1111

apn names change from zone to zone nnote it down from another phone or ask customer care ....
download opera mini from http://www.opera.com/mini/download/
install using desktop manager .... opera will auto configure your phone restart your phone and try the opera brouser ... enjoy...

how to feed bsnl gprs setting manually to blackberry 8100 mobile

Try this :
Go to your phone MENU -> CONNECTIVITY-> BSNL GPRS

or

MENU -> CONNECTIVITY-> BNSL PREPAID SERVICES ->GPRS SETTINGS.

GPRS and MMS SETTINGS will be send to your phone shortly, along with the instructions on how to install. Goodluck......a rate from you for this solution will be much appreciated. Thank you!

It appears to be this simple.

Click Properties -> Advanced and add

+cgdcont=1,"IP","airtelgprs.com",0,0

Without the quotes.

I don't have the phone to check it tho.
