There could be several reasons for this problem but I can only think of the following:
1.) The internal sensor may have gone "bad". The sensors are sensitive and prone to failure. But before you give up, see #2 & 3 below.
2.) A few things to check:
- Make sure you are using the recommended white cleaning tablets*. If the tablets aren't used then there may still be oil build-up in the brewing chamber.
- When indicated during the cleaning cycle, be sure to remove the tray and bean container for
at least 20 seconds and then replace, even if they are already empty.

3.) If you don't have cleaning tablets on-hand then you can try running a regular brewing cycle using white vinegar** instead of water. Follow with at least 2 cycles of clear water (to rinse) before brewing your first cup of java.
***This method is probably not recommended by your manufacturer. I have used it on my machines without incurring any problems but I can't guarantee that it's safe for your machine.
