Good battery, all fuses (I could find) are good, no indication of power.

Turn on the key, but nothing at all. What to try next?

Lots of possibilities. Do your headlights come on? If not check your battery terminals. Next suspect is the starter relay or the starter itself. You may have to take it to the shop.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the feedback. The problem turned out to be severe corrosion to the battery negative/ground wire. Cleaning the surfaces brought it back to life. Replacing the entire cable today. Thanks...."

If you nothing dont even try to turn over check your battery wires loose or dirty connection. Most likely dirty terminal connections.

SOURCE: 1996 olds cutlass supreme won't crank

You can jump across the celonoid on the starter. If the engine turns over then your problem is either the celonoid or the starter switch.

SOURCE: no power to starter 2004 chevy tahoe

Hi
It could be your neutral safety switch. It could be the starter relay which is located in the fuse panel box. It could be the smaller wire going to the starter could be loose or corroded.

SOURCE: will not crank turn key

Check fuse # 28 (15 Amp) with a test light. (Located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) on the left side of the engine compartment) It should have power only when the ignition switch is turned to the START position. If there is no power there, then you probably have a bad ignition switch. The only other fuse involved would be fuse #8 (40 Amp) which is also in the PDC. If this fuse is blown a whole lot of stuff is not going to work - not just your starter. The starter motor relay (Also in the PDC) is controlled by the PowertrainControl Module. The wiring diagrams show it as a 5 pin relay whereonly 4 of the pins are used. If you check for power and ground at the connector pins for the relay, there should be one pin that is hot all the time. This is the power from fuse #8. a second pin should be hot with the key in the RUN and START positions. This would be the circuit running through fuse# 28. One pin should have continuity to ground (your test light should light up if you hook it to the battery positive terminal and probe this terminal.) This is the circuit that goes down to the starter. The 4th pin will have no continuity to anything at all until the ignition is placed in the START position, when it will have continuity to ground. This is the relay control circuit from the PCM.
If you dont have power at the relay connector as described, then you must repair the circuits between the fuses and the relay. If you don't have the grounds as describedfor the starter circuit, you ether have an open circuit going to the starter or a bad starter. If you are not getting ground on the control circuit from the PCM, it could be several other things causing your no-crank problem. It could be an open circuit between the starter relay and the PCM or it could be that the PCM is not allowing an engine start for one reason or another - The PCM will have to be scanned to find out what the problem is.

New battery In mercedes no power

I'm not a car mechanic, but, it sounds like you might want to check the fuse to the ignition switch, and, if that fails, it might be a problem with the Start Safety Switch on the transmission. Good luck.

Jaguar x type battery dead

What year and engine size is this 2008 jaguar x type?

Are you sure the battery is good, did you have it tested, next if battery is good and you can see bright headlights when you turn them on then i would look at the fuses, if you jump started it you may have blown a fuse.

when you say no ignition what do you mean? are the dash lights coming on when you turn the key?

Is the problem that you have no knd of power to car or every thing lights up but nothing happens when you try to crank engine, or does engine crank (SPIN OVER) but not start up ?

let me know the answers to these questions and i will help you. good day

2009 HHR won't start. Battery is good.

Is the security light on or blinking? If not then do you have power to the starter. You can check this with a test light. You should have power when you turn the key to start. The test light should light up.Should be the small wire.I believe it is purple in color. If the security light is on then you will have to get the codes to see what is causing the no start.Hope this helps.Good luck.

My 07 Odyssey is not starting in today's cold. There's a clicking sound when I turn the key. Battery is fine. Owners manual indicates it may be a blown fuse, but diagram isn't very helpful in narrowing...

If you are getting a clicking sound, then the starter is not getting enough power. There are three major things that must work in order for a starter to work. A good power source with good connections, a good starter solenoid (puts direct battery power to the starter motor when you turn the ignition to start), and a good starter motor. Usually a clicking sound indicates a fault in the first two items mentioned. If it were a blown fuse, you would get absolutely nothing when you turned the ignition key.

Turn the key and nothing

Check battery for 12v check that power is present at the end of the positive cable and that the negative cable is clean and firmly attached. You can then check starter relay for power, and if necessary the ignition switch. Lights do not require as much power to operate and are not a good indicator of system condition.

Chevy tahoe won't turnover, power to everything, no clicking in starter to indicate that it is the starter, nothing happens when you turn the key? any sugg My problem is similar. My 2003 4wd will start...

Next time it won't start turn headlights on and see if they dim when you turn key to start, if they dim its most likely starter, if they don't dim possible starter switch, Have you tried to start it in neutral position? Try that, if it starts in neutral than its park neutral switch, if not could be starter switch, Just make sure you chk. all fuses and any relays associated with ignition first.
