if the lines is same direction with paper way that means the problem with laser beam pass ( check mirror and its window)
if lines are perpendicular to the paper direction the drum is the problem ( check all fuser connector first )

This will provide some nice directions on removing the door panel, to gain access to the nuts behind the mirror sail panel. Obviously you don't need to remove the glass from the mirror head if you already have the new mirror head complete. It is an easy job, I have done this on my 2001 ( did the Muth install ) as well as my 2006 F-150s.

The copy function does not support mirror images. I'd scan it and manipulate a mirror image with photo software and then just print it.

You need to clean small exposure glass located on the left of the main exposure glass.If this doesn't help,it can be a dust under the glass or on the mirrors that causing lines.

you have to remove the door panel first then unplug the mirror and remove the screws from the mirror and then put the new one on going in reverse you can try autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you

If the line only appears when the scanner is used & not when printing directly from the computer, you are correct in assuming the problem lies in the scanner assy. There should be mirrors attached to the scanner assy which will gather dust and cause copy/scan problems. Remove the glass & clean the mirrors with a DRY cotton cloth. Do not use any cleaning solution on the mirrors as they are sometimes treated & can be ruined if they come in contact with a cleaning solution. Use the dry cloth to wipe off the lens while you have it apart.Also clean both sides of the copy glass while you have it off. Reinstall glass & test.Cleaning the optics solves the problem most of the time. Good Luck!!
