I have had many issues with the digital modules in Sanyo televisions. You do not indicate the Model #, I can be so much more helpful with this info.
This is the module where Cable plugs into or your hdmi cables connect to. Usually identifying the module involves looking at the part number on the tuner (where cable wire connects to) Look for 4-5 letters starting with N on the paper tag. Google the part number you find for potential resellers of this part.

Plan on fixing or replacing the power board soon. It will keep getting worse until, the end. There is a small bright side. It is the best damage to sell your broken tv "as-is" online. Someone will come pick it for sure.

Hello,
I have a pile of these in my shop. Unfortunately and usually, a backlight lamp is bad, and the inverter board is damaged when it goes out. The backlight lamps are sealed inside the panel, so the usual method of repair is to replace the panel.
If you turn the lights off in the room, then turn the tv on, you will probably see a momentary flash of light from the backlight trying to start up. The lamps can be replaced, but the option is not really cost effective given the amount of time it takes to replace them/very delicate nature of the lamps/availability of the lamps/cost of the lamps. Replacement panels might be available, but you'd have to use a TV shop for reference or call Sanyo directly.
These units also have a history of power supply heat damage, so if you don't see the momentary flash, it could be the power supply. But the momentary flash is the dead giveaway.
I hope this helps you...

Hello Charliebigwh, hi technically your monitor's power supply has a problem, this is either your switching regulator does not work or there is a short in that section, If you want to do it your self, need to replace all large value, and or high voltage capacitors(especially the capacitors with its top is bubbly), need also to replace the switching IC, and power transistor.
Have it checked by a technician if you cannot do the work.
