if it works then you are ok,try to gently push it back into place,i do know what you are talking about, there should be a piece of metal over the sim card slot that protects and holds the sim,if that is gone it needs repair, keep in mind that the upper sim is for 3g and the other slot is for 2g.

My gl cell phone says unreg. sims

Hi, inside your phone, usually under the battery, will be a small card with a chip on it. This is the Sim card. The SIM card is what identifies you on the network. It has a special code that is unique to your line.

So basically, the phone is telling you that the card is unregistered: not tied to any account.

First, try taking off the back cover of your phone and removing the battery. Find the SIM card and take it out carefully. Wipe off the gold connectors and the gold part of the SIM card. Put it back in and make sure it's setting on there correctly. The gold part should touch the gold connectors, and it should sit firmly in place as to not slide around. Put the battery back in, the cover back on, and power your phone back on. See if this fixes it.

If you have another phone available that is on the same carrier as you, try your SIM card out inside that phone (just switch out temporarily). This way, you can tell whether it is the card or the phone that has a problem.

If these things don't work, call your carrier's customer service or take the phone into the store.

LOAD BLACKBERRY 8320 SIM CARD JUST REBOOTS AND RED LIGHT

This means that the BB can't see the Sim Card. The little sim card is underneath the battery - check and make sure that that the gold part of the sim card is touching the gold parts of the BB. Also make sure the gate is locked in place, it slides to the right when locked. (Slide it to the left to unlock and lift the SIM card gate.)

You should have a SIM CARD, if you don't call your cell company..

Phone says no service and nothing from sim card shows up????

I am a tmobile customer and it works for me. One thing I know to make sure your SIM card insert position. For SIM card slot at the bottom, make sure the gold-colored contact facing upward. For SIM card slot at the top, make sure gold-colored contact facing downward. At the first time, I put it in a wrong position and gave me the 'No service" error. Good luck

Sim card rejected

this happen if there is some problem in the sim card holder port ....

there will be loose contact inside the sim card holder is not touching the circuit board inside due to this your sim card is getting rejected ...

as you have told that the phone is a brand new one so i am sure that you will be having the warranty so just make use of it by contact the dealer with whom you have purchased or contacting the company customer care number to get more information about how to make use of your warranty ......

if you dont have the warranty then you must open the handset
and just remove the circuit board & sim card holder and insert it again so that the sim card holder touches the circuit board correctly ...
after this refit the phone then surely your sim will be accepted ....

it is better to use of warranty if you have ......
this is a simple problem if you dont have the warranty also you can only fix it ..
if you just open the handset & set that sim card holder to touch the circuit board that s enough everything will be done and works fine ...

if you are afraid of opening then you must just contact the technician ...
it is just a matter of very little bucks if you contact him also ...

any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you

Sidekick 2

Sorry, the sidekick II doesn't have a battery that can be pulled out. You need to pull back the bumper on one side to access the sim card slot.

    1. Follow these instructions to remove your operator-supplied SIM card from your device:
    2. Turn off your device by pressing the power on/off key.
    • Expose the SIM card slot by peeling back the bumper from the top-left edge of the device: t02005-2.jpg
    • Press down on the silver "catch" and the SIM card will spring out of its slot. Remove the SIM card carefully. (Always handle your SIM card carefully since the card and gold contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bends. Be sure to keep SIM cards out of reach of small children.)

    1. Now insert the SIM card containing the contacts you want to import:
    2. Insert the SIM card into its slot with the gold contacts facing up and the cut corner facing out. t02005-1.jpg
    • When you release the SIM card make sure it is locked into position behind the catch so it doesn't spring out.
    • Replace the bumper and turn on your device.
