Okau you have to do is that you have to have a intrent cord and a mouse cord and a keybored cord and then you need to get speakers and the others get rid of it okay
Are you sure your hubby is picking up the wireless from his phone or is he just getting a signal from a cell phone tower?
The reason I ask is that once you hit the button to set the router back to the factory default, the wireless on the router is turned off.
You have to go into the router and enable the wireless and give it a SSID (unless you want the Dlink default) and you have to give it a password if you want it secured.
You should be able to. Most Dlink wireless boxes use a RP-SMA (rp=reverse polarity) connector on the external antenna. So you make or buy a cable to go from the male RP-SMA on the box to whatever is on the antenna (female RP-SMA obviously if you use the same antenna).
If you are going to go to the trouble, I would suggest buying a better antenna also. A directional like the small parabolic dishes work well if getting the signal from once direction.
Its quite likely that the router is not connected to your computer wirelessly. Which means, your wireless card is not picking up a IP address.
I would suggest two thigns
1. In your wireless utlity , try to repair the connection.
2. Check if you have a static IP address. If you do, remove it.
Hope this helps
Thanks
