Thundering and lightening can damage your set in many ways. Sometimes if you are lucky, you escape with a blown fuse and some minor safety components damaged. Well open the back cover and see if the fuse is blown. If there is no other visible damage, try a new fuse of the same rating. If the tv works, well and good and if the fuse blows again, please consult the TV tech.

Check your stand by voltage on main board and power supply cable..should see marking on PS for Stby 5v. I you have the 5v change main board or A board it is not supplying your voltage back to PS to turn on. If you dont have 5v stand by change PS.

Count the exact number of flashes occur at one time switch ON. These are called blinking codes, and is fault indication. Sounds like you have a bad input board and it is only time before you lose three. If it is under warranty get it in otherwise start tracking down the part. Most of these are a plug and play device once the tv is apart.

first thing is to get it open and examine the power board for fuses and puffed up filter caps---with the model number and Google you should be able to locate replacement boards and price them.

Check the power outlet and try connecting it to a different power outlet. If problem persists, I suggest it is better to refer it to a qualified service technician, since the back cover has to be opened for investigation.

Look for loose contacts in power outlet, power cord.

connect your blue ray and your dish net with hdmi cables to the amplifier than monitor out hdmi to tv .in your dvd configuration you must make sure that hdmi audio is activated .ps not to be mean but this is a very low quality dvd because it does not have fiber optique audio output but it can still work, for your dis net it all depends on what type of digital audio output
