Need to know replacement cable name to transfer pictures to computer need a new one

When you connect your Nikon camera to your computer some program is automatically loading up and then transferring your pictures over. If you haven't deleted the picture from your camera then reconnect your camera back to your computer. Follow the same steps you did the first time but watch the screen carefully. When the program tells you it is copying the picture over it should have a window open to the directory that it is using for the transfer. You should be able to get to that directory in your computer to work with your picture.

If the program deleted the picture from your camera then just shoot another picture so that you have something to work with. Most programs use some kind of a naming convention when it is saving your pictures, Usually it is a name made up of the date you are transferring the picture on as well as a number. The program should open a window before the transfer is completed to allow you to use your own naming convention.

The camcorder has an extirely separate storage compartments functioning as an entity of its own. Capture the pictures or videos to be stored on the cameras builtin hard disk. Once the shoots acquired are ready to be transmitted into the computer require USB cables provided with the camera at acquisition. An unavailble USb cable is acquirable from retail to achieve the link for transfer to take place. Plugging the camera to the computer with cables provided should produce transfer results. The computer always request to transfer what has been acquire in the cameras disk. A permittion response usually a click of button would require naming the photos or videos about to be imported into the computer. provide a name to the transfer media and also choose from the pop up menu automatically displayed an area on the computer. For example, the computers pictures or briefcase allows to store similar files easily retrievable with computers that have several data files or disk storage media.

To import pictures and videos from a digital camera

1. Connect the camera to your computer by using the camera's USB cable.

2. Turn on the camera.
   

3. In the AutoPlay dialog box that appears, click Import pictures and videos using Windows.
   

4. (Optional) To tag the pictures, type a tag name in the Tag these pictures (optional) box.
   

   By default, the folder name includes the date the pictures and videos are imported and the tag name.
   

5. Click Import.
   

   A new window opens and shows the imported pictures and videos.
   

You can connect your camera directly to your computer or take out your memory card and stick it into a card reader that is connected to your computer. The usual connection is via USB.

Choose pictures. the wizard allows you to rotate the pictures and also view picture details like the date when the picture was taken. Choose destination. Now you have two fields you have to fill in.

• The first one is entitled: Type a name for this group of pictures. The value that you enter here will be the final file name of each picture on your computer. For example: I know that the pictures I’m transferring were taken on June 21, 2007 and they were taken at Constitution Park. So, I’ll fill out 07-06-21-constitution-park and then each file will be name like this plus a counter, 01,02, etc. This way I can also identify each picture by its name. Remember: this is NOT the name of the destination folder.
• The second one is entitled: Choose a place to save this group of pictures. This is the place to specify your destination folder for these pictures. So you can click the browse button (the yellow folder) and choose the destination folder on your hard disk.

Wait for the transfer to end. check the destination folder for the pictures.if the transfer didnt work ,then replace the usb cable.hope this helps pls do let me know if you need further help

On the old computer, run Vista's "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" to write one large file onto the old computer. The "export" file will contain your pictures.

Copy, via the transfer-cable, that one file to the new computer.

Run the "import" function of the Windows 7 Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to read the copied file.

you can just plug the camer to the computer using the USB cable it came with or any USB cable that will fit.

once connected your computer will install the needed files, just wait until it says done or "installed and ready to use".

after that go to "my computer" then look for an item there that has a camera name or a "removable storage", double-click on it.

usually the images will be in a folder that says DCIM

-i have a Canon A460, so it should be the same folder.

I don't know in which country you live (this is helpful to know!), but in most stores offering cameras and many offering electronic items, you should be able to procure a kit of adaptors that will include a cable to use with them.
In the US at least, Wal-Mart, Best buy, Circuit City and Radio Shack are likely sources.
Elsewhere (?) you are on your own.

Transfer the folder to your computer, along with any other pictures you want to save. To do this use a card reader, not the camera. Then click and drag the folder onto your desktop. After you will format the card using your camera (press menu then under the setup tab [yellow colored]) - this will delete all the pictures on your card so make sure they transfered onto your computer. Take a random picture on the camera to generate a new folder. If you want to put the pictures back onto the card so you can view them with the camera (not necessary), you should put the card back into the card reader, then open the dcim folder. you will see a folder which says Canon###, copy that name and make sure it matches the name of the folder you previously copied onto your desktop. click and drag the folder back onto the memory card to replace the existing folder in there (the random picture you took will be over written, so if you liked it transfer it first). That should have covered it...i know i made this very wordy, sorry, but i'm used to explaining these things to my parents who don't even know how to turn on their camera.

You need the data transfer cable for your phone to your computer (probably USB on the PC end) and HelloMoto may provide any software needed. Or once connected via USB the phones memory may show up in "My Computer" (Win XP) as a drive and you may be able to drag and drop, and delete if viewing contents via my computer.
