Need to replace the Senseo power cord. How do I open the bottom up?

The Emerson EWC27T3 does not have a removable power cord. If it is missing, it was cut or broken off. To replace it, you would need to open the TV and desolder the remnant of the old wire and solder on a new wire after feeding it through the cord opening. It's to the lower left of the audio out jacks on the right side of the TV as you face the back.

I wish that I had better news for you. However, I don't think repairing the power cord would be cost effective for this TV. There may be additional internal damage from the event that resulted in the loss of the power cord.

But what I type here, you also have to read.
The manual gives pictures. I'm not.
Remove the transparent back of the machine and fill it with water. a few centimetres under the top, you fine the line for max fill.
Then replace the transparent back on the machine. Then plug in the power cord and press the power on button. (once is enough) a light comes on and flashes, when the mains plug has power.
Then wait till the light stops flashing. In the mean time put a coffee pad in the top and close the top all as described in the manual.
Place one or two cups under the nozzles and press the button with the one or two cups. (two cups gives twice as much water, so place two cups.

That is all.

Try another outlet, cord/charger, with the EXACT same power specs. Has the cord plug been pulled while pluged in damaging the AC jack? Does the computer boot on battery power?

Dirt can build up and interfere with the connection, giving the appearance of a broken charger. Let the alcohol dry completely and re-insert the battery. Slide the latch to secure it and plug in the power cord to test it. See if the laptop powers on with the charger only and battery removed. If it does, the battery is the likely culprit and should be replaced. If the charger is truly broken, the only thing to do is to replace it or the power cord attached to it. Look on the bottom and write down the part number. Call the laptop manufacturer for a replacement charger or search for the part number on eBay. Many coffee makers use neon bulbs to indicate that power is on. These do burn out after a while, but replacement is usually somewhat difficult. In this case, the coffee maker still works; you just don't have the immediate visual indication.

Many of the urn-type coffee pots have problems with the power cord breaking where it goes into the pot. To fix this, you need to remove the bottom, cut the cord where it is broken (on the outside of the pot), strip it back to match the part of the cord remaining inside the pot and crimp on new terminals of the same kind used on the original ends. The hardest part is squeezing the strain relief clamp where the cord enters the pot to remove it, and putting it back on. Study it carefully as it you remove it from the cord so you know how it works. To avoid a repeat of the same problem (and buying a new cord), be careful not twist the cord or bend it too tightly at the strain relief. NOTE: one of the wires in the power cord has a rib on the outer jacket. This is the neutral wire. Make sure it connects to the same place inside the pot as the original neutral.

Other failure points are at the power switch, or (rarely) the heater element. I've seen a programmable coffee maker with a burned-out relay (magnetic switch in a black plastic box on the circuit board). The clock and timer worked, but the heater wasn't getting any power. That part is about $5.

The easiest way to identify the problem is with an ohmmeter. Start by removing the bottom of the coffee maker (unplug it first!). Identify the heater terminals (the heater looks like a small version of the one in your oven and has either screw or slip-on terminals). Connect one of the ohmmeter test leads to each heater terminal to measure the heater resistance (typically 5 - 20 Ohms). If you have a basic (non-programmable) coffee maker, turn on the power switch and measure the resistance from each terminal to each prong on the plug. You should read either nearly zero ohms, or the heater resistance plus not more than a few tenths of an ohm. If you read open to one prong of the plug, you are on the track. Trace where the wire from that heater terminal goes. If it goes to the power switch, check the resistance of the power switch in the on position. If the reading is more than a couple of tenths of an ohm, the switch has dirty contacts, or it's broken or burned out. If you have a good connection from the heater to the power line side of the switch, but you get open from there to the hot side of the plug, the power cord is bad. Likewise, if you get an open reading from the other heater terminal to the neutral side of the plug, the cord is bad.

Programmable coffee makers have a similar troubleshooting procedure, except that you have to check for live AC voltage with the pot plugged in - this is not something to try if you aren't trained in the safe way to do this.

Yes. First, unscrew all the screws from the bottom, then, gently, pull it out. Please note that you need to have basic electricity knowledge in order to properly disconnect and reconnect the power cord.

Eureka! I have solved this problem.
Disconnect your Senseo from the power. Take it to the sink. Hold it upside down and put hot water in the coffee outled. In less than 30 seconds the senseo will open.

The problem with Senseo is that - especially with coffee holders for 2 cups and chocolate - after making the coffee, the pod holder and the pod cool down. This creates an underpressure, that prevents you opening the Senseo. Hot water will increase the pressure and then you can open the senseo very soon.

This solution was found in despair after struggling with all the complex tool involving (knives, pumps, etc.)

If you can't get it to go back in by pulling on it, you will need to open up the machine to rewind it by hand. Open the front of the canister and remove the bag. As you are looking at the front of the unit, there are two vinyl coverd strips that run the length of the unit. Pull forward on these strips and then pull out so that the vinyl seperates from the plastic underneath. Now grab the plastic strip with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull towards the front of the canister. These can be tough if the machine has never been opened up before, but pull as hard as you need to, to slide the strip out. Once both strips are out, turn the machine over, pull out on the sides of the bottom of the unit, and lift up. The bottom should come of relatively easily, and eveything will be exposed. You can now see the cordwinder and the spring that pulls the cord back in. If it's not broken, you should be able to manipulate the spring reel by hand and get the cord started so that it will rewind by itself. If not, you probably need to have the cordwinder replaced. Sounds like resevoir was not seated properly or something is in the resevoir. try pushing the pin on the bottom of the resevoir, do it over the sink, and see if water comes out. if tht works then its internal to the machine.
