Lenovo y410 forgot bios password

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link.

In case of your Lenovo laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Lenovo n500 forgot bios password

Hello, If you forgot your BIOS password,do not worry, you can reset your system back without requesting a BIOS password,Simply unscrew your laptop and get the motherboard of your laptop, locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard and remove for sometime for the battery to discharge say 4-10minutes,or better still if you can locate the jumpers for the BIOS and reset it,the BIOS password will be removed. It is the battery that keeps the BIOS chip alive by suppling it power,if power is not supplied to this chip, then the information on it will be lost. So, remove the battery for some minutes or reset your BIOS jumper on the motherboard WISH YOU THE BEST.

How to crack bios password for lenevo laptop....

typically you can reset the bios password by finding the jumper for it (probably near the battery for the bios, often J2) and switching it to the the open pin connected to the middle pin, power up the pc, turn the pc off, replace the jumper to its original position

I forgot my BIOS password and i want to reset my laptop so i can use it again

There should be 3 pins with a jumper on 2 of the pins on the motherboard. Put the jumper on the other 2 pins and turn it on. Once it boots turn it back off and put the jumper back. That should reset the bios password.

How to remove bios password in lenovo 3000 y510

This information is intended for experienced users. It is not intended for basic users, hackers, or computer thieves. Please do not try any of following procedures if you are not familiar with computer hardware. I'll not be responsible for the use or misuse of this information, including personal injury, loss of data or hardware damage. So use it at your own risk.

A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:

In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.

Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.

When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.

Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.

B. By Using Software:

I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds

I lost my bios password on a s10e netbook. does someone know how to fix it ? The user password is OK, but not the administrator.

If you're really sure that it's the BIOS password, you can reset that by resetting the CMOS battery in the laptop. You can reset the CMOS battery by removing it and placing it back again. You can ask a local technician how to do this.

Laptop bios password , computer password screen not goes

IF you can get to the motherboard, there should be a set of jumpers related to the bios. You should be able to pull the Jumper off it's pins, wait a min or two, and then put it back on and that should have reset the bios back to not having a password. That also will reset the bios if you've made any changes in there. You'll need either a schematic of the motherboard (which I'm sure will be VERY hard to find, or you'll need to look the board over at the small printing until you find the set of posts with a jumper on them that's labeled bios.
