Tilt and trim adjust the angle of the motor and thus the running surface of the boat, ...the grip on the water, the ability to jump on plane and many other operations ... be around the base of the ram, or drip down around the power tilt and trim motor. ...Sometimes you can bang on the power tilt and trim motor with the head of a ...
I would look for a corroded ground wire or a connection that has a corroded connection. Clean all ground and hot lead connections, then seal them from moisture.
Check the blade or cup to see if there any trims. If there it is it can be the reason why it's not working sometimes the blade and the heat can trim the base down
Diagnostics is needed to find the source of the problem. You will need at a few tools (to access components), a test-light, and a couple fused jumpers to test the trim motor (if needed). Perform a preliminary inspection. Make sure that nothing obvious is seized or broken. Start at the trim control switch and work back to the trim tab. Bad wiring is the number one failure, then switches, relays, solenoids, motors, and then mechanical components. Sometimes these repairs will go fast and sometimes we need to pray. Prepare for the worse and be patent. If you have more information or questions, please write back, good luck.
Windshield leaks are very difficult to stop. Not even pros can get it right all the time.
There is a silicone windshield sealant (Pep Boys) which has a consistency allowing it to "run" down into the holes / cracks -- sometimes this works sometimes it doesn't.
Yes, windshield trim will need to be removed...
And, yes, the light fixture should come off from top of vehicle, and "standard" silicone caulk can be used around that fixture to stop leaks.
If you know how to remove the interior door trim take that off. If not there is a post on the site already I had just given directions how to do. Once you have the trim panel off you should be able to see part of the power window motor. If you do take a hammer hit it but not too hard. sometimes they need a bit of a jiggle to get going. try it and if it does not work try again, don't begin to hit it harder each time if it does not work. try a little bit harder if you feel like it but if it still doesnt work it is the power window motor you will need to replace then.
find the solenoid for the trim it will be a the engine or on the trim motor it self get a test lite and find the power wire on the trim motor and with someone pushing the trim button test the hot on the motor if there is no power it is the solenoid if there is power u my have a brush stuck in the trim motor itself but 99% of the time it is the solenoid u can tap the trim motor and see if that gets a result but dont hit hard
First check the switch-- does it have power, then check the solenoid to see if it works-- there are two. One is for down, One is for up. If you get power from the solenoid-- outgoing-- check connections going to pump motor.
The rotary controls / pot's (especially "low") on DJM500's are nototious for becoming dry jointed, usually a quick resolder of the legs / connections sorts them out.
