Go to start button in tool bar click on it and the programs section will drop down
if the heading is still there right click on it and down the bottom of the drop down box there will be a properties heading
right click on that and find compatibility tag and open it up
section will appear that states compatible for
click tick in the box and the list of programs will show click on your system for the computer ( XP-vista -windows 7 etc )
go apply and ok
if you have nothing to work with at all the make sure when downloading the program that you are downloading a program that is for your operating system
By that I mean the program may be windows essentials and if you look closely there will be a list of compatible op systems such as xp-vista/windows 7,7,10 or others
you will require the download for your operating system in the computer

YouCam 10 deluxe has become unresponsive on my Windows 11 PC. It loads and opens, but all of the options are "greyed out " and do not work.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with YouCam 10 Deluxe on your Windows 11 PC. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the problem:
  1. Restart your PC. Sometimes, simply restarting the PC can fix software issues and get the program working again.
  2. Check for updates. Make sure you have the latest version of YouCam 10 Deluxe installed on your PC. You can check for updates through the program's update feature or by visiting the manufacturer's website.
  3. Check for compatibility issues. YouCam 10 Deluxe may not be fully compatible with Windows 11. Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any known compatibility issues and if there are any updates or fixes available.
  4. Repair or reinstall the program. If the program is still not working, you can try repairing it or reinstalling it to see if this resolves the problem. To repair the program, go to the Control Panel and select "Programs and Features." Find YouCam 10 Deluxe in the list of installed programs and select "Repair." To reinstall the program, you will need to download the installation file from the manufacturer's website and follow the prompts to install it.
I hope these suggestions help! If you are still having issues with YouCam 10 Deluxe, you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I installed panzers phase 1 on win7. all installation was trouble free but when i try and start the game i'm asked to reboot to finish installation but when i reboot and then try to launch the game...

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the program?
is your windows 7 a 64bit or 32bit?
if 64bit, maybe the program is not compatible with win7 64bit.
try this one.
  1. right click the shortcut link of panzer.
  2. on the menu choose Properties.
  3. then click the Compatibility Tab.
  4. On the Compatibility Mode >>>> Check the Box that Says " Run this program in compatibility mode for: "
  5. Choose the compatibility you want in the drop download list ( I Suggest you choose Windows XP SP2 )
  6. then click apply then Ok.
  7. Run the game.
Hope it helps.

Making printshop 21 run properly on win 7

You can either get Broderbund Print Shop Deluxe 2.0 which is Win7 compatible or use a virtual/dual boot computer with WinXP. (The Vista compatible version was Print Shop 23; so you are dealing with some significant changes in the OS. Thus the compatibility mode probably won't work. You can try right clicking on the installer and choose Properties and the Compatibility Tab. Check Run as Compatible with XP then right click on the installer again and choose Run as Administrator. Then do the Compatiblity mode again with the actual program.)

With Win7 Pro and Ultimate, you have an option to download and run XP mode which takes two programs that you download from Microsoft and install. This lets you run a virtual XP computer inside the Win7 computer for free. All other virtual computer programs or dual boot systems require a licensed version of XP.

I hope this helps.

How can i run platinum 16 on windows 7. it says there is compatability issues cannot find any driver updates

The recommended solution is to upgrade for version 18.

I'd guess you already tried running the installer by choosing Run this program in compatibility mode (by right clicking and choosing properties) and then right clicking again and Run as administrator.

Your next option is to run a virtual PC within your Win7 computer (or a dual boot system) with a compatible OS running on the "other" machine. With Win7 Pro and Ultimate, there is an option to download two programs and install them for a free WinXP virtual computer (XP mode). For the other primary OS's you'll need to have a valid license of the compatible OS to install in program that runs the virtualization or the second boot disc. Then install the Printmaster in the "machine" with the correct OS. You may find you need to save the files to external media to transfer them. (The virtual computer won't let you have one printer installed on both the virtual system and the real computer.)

I hope this helps.

I have an American Greetingts CreataCard program I bought several years ago. Just tried to download it on my Windows 7 computer and it said it was not compatible. When I had it on my old computer it was...

There may be a workaround or two. First, Win7 wants a different installer. Try running the installer in a Compatability mode (right click on the exe, choose properties, click on the Compatability tab and put a check in the box for run this program in the compatability mode, use the drop down to choose the latest OS that you know will run the program, then right click again on the program and choose run as administrator). If your new computer uses 64-bit Win7, this is even less likely to work. Microsoft needs signed files in 64-bit. Do the same compatability with the program if it installs.

If that doesn't work, try installing a virtual computer with an OS that runs the program in your Win7 machine (The free XP mode is available in Win7 Pro and Ultimate. It takes two downloads from Microsoft to install the computer and then install the program as if the XP mode was the only computer.)

Otherwise, upgrade the program. (The Microsoft compatability center gives information pending on the program.)

I hope this helps.

I've got a dell computer and i'm trying to swap the crt screen to a packard bell lcd screen and it wont display is there a driver i have to get or are they just not compatable

It probably a mismatch between resolution, colour depth and refresh rates. Before you disconnect the CRT change the resolution to 640x480 and 16 colours with a 60Hz refresh. Then connect the LCD and adjust the settings
