Water flows freely when powering the machine on and off. Before I can get a full cup of coffee, I have to run a lot of water through the steam knob before the unit will brew a cup in its entirety. Possible air leak? Thank you for your help!
Do you mean the "Fill Tank" message? If so, I found the problem to be the magnetic switch triggered by the float in the water tank. Please confirm the message you see and I can provide more details.
Ok, it sounds like your unit might have the same problem mine did. I posted some of my findings in this thread:

Adding a magnet to the float helped for several months but then the problem came back. I found the root-cause to be the 'reed switch' (see picture in the other thread) and when I replaced it, it worked fine. Replacement parts like these are often available through web-sites (e.g. http://www.ereplacementparts.com)
Yes! They call it a Water Indicator Light (empty/missing) on mine.Thank you, RA.
Hey thanks, RA...my magnet moves freely but I will definitely start by adding a magnet to the float. Thank you very much!
IT WORKED! Adding the magnet did the trick. Such an inexpensive and easy fix. I cannot thank you enough RA!
I'm glad this helped. Note that I did eventually replace the reed switch but perhaps you're fix will last longer. Good luck.
