How do I create a "group" for a contact?

create a contact called group whatever then put each email address in with a semi colon between each email address eg [email protected];[email protected];[email protected] if you don't want each contact to see each others email addresses sent email to first contact then bcc the group email contact. There may be a limit on number of contacts due to spam risk by isp mail server.

To create a contact group:

1. Click Gmail at the top-left corner of your Gmail page, then choose Contacts.
2. Select contacts that you want to add to a group, click the Groups button. , then Create new.
3. Enter the name of the group.
4. Click OK.

To add contacts to a contact group:

1. Select the contacts in the Contacts list.
2. Click the Groups button.
3. Select the group you'd like to add the contact to, or select Create new to create a new group.
4. If you have multiple addresses saved for a contact, you can choose which address should belong to the contact group by opening the contact and clicking the small arrow next to the group you'd like to modify.

To set up a list for group mailing in Yahoo! Mail:

Go to Contacts in your Yahoo! Mail's navigation bar.
Click New List.
Type the desired name for the list.
Hit Enter.

To add members to the list you just created:

Drag and drop them onto the list (from All Contacts, for example).

You can also use Assign to Lists for any contact to add them to one list or more.

Only Group can use different ringtones, but not each contact.

You have to create Group then add contacts to the group.

Select Menu---> Contacts.

To create a contact group, scroll to each contact you want to add to the group, and select

Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark.

Select Options > Group > Add to group > Create new group, and enter a name for the group.

Add contacts to the group from option in contacts.

In the Group Option, you'll have menu to assign ringtones to the saved contacts in group.

Groups can contain any number of contacts, and even just a single member, so you could, for instance, have one ringtone for family members, one for work colleagues and one for your partner.
To create a group, assign a ringtone and image and then select a group's members, follow these instructions:

• From the main menu, highlight Contacts and click Select.
• Highlight Groups and click Select.
• Click Add (or if you have already added groups, click Options, highlight Add new group and click Select).
• Enter a name for the group and click OK.
• Highlight the group's name in the list and click Options.
• Highlight Group details and click Select.
• Highlight Group ringing tone and click Select
• Highlight Open Gallery, click Select, locate the ringtone in your gallery and click Select to apply.
• Highlight Group image and click Select.
• Click Add, highlight From Gallery, click Select, locate the image in your gallery and click Select.
• Now highlight Group members and click Select. Click Add and your contacts list will open. Highlight the contacts you want to add to the group and click Select. You can add as many contacts as you like to each group.

If you want to add contacts to an existing group, highlight the group's name on the Groups screen, click View and click Add to display your contacts list. Highlight a contact and click Select to add them.

you can find list option under message tab , using that first create a list , then add your contact details in that list ,while sending message you can opt to send to group or list ,so that you can send to many at same time using group text

unfortunately, callergroups within the g1 are not supported, however you can create groups online. donno how much help that would be.....but if fyou wanted to know, log online to your gmail account, select CONTACTS (on the left) > check the contacts you want to place in the group, select GROUPS on the top and select the option in the dropdown. if you want to create a new group, type the name of the group in the 'add to this group' feild.
