Question about Franke Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

Hi, my Franke Flair does not respond when I push any of the buttons to make coffee, water, milk etc. it just displays the 'SELECT PRODUCT' message. The rinse, clean and descale buttons all work.

SOURCE: Franke coffee system, always same error message ''fill water tank''

What you would have to do is take the side panel off to get at the solenoid. It is probably sticking closed and not letting the water fill into the boiler.

SOURCE: system fill message

I had a new Flair. The technician directed me to use a full bottle of the descale fluid and cycle the rinse button several times then to let it rest for 15 minutes or so. This was repeated for several iterations....It worked and I'm having no problems.

No milk and steam dispensing from Franke Flair coffee machine

I am a Franke technician. After and possibly during the descale, because probably you haven'nt done it in a long time, steam was able to escape through the fittings as the limescale damaged the silicone rings beforehand. The steam damaged the klixxons or the thermoblock itself. You will need one of us unfortunately....

My Franke Flair machine has water in tank but get message "fill water tank". Cleaned tank thoroughly, tried plugging and unplugging machine too.

The water tank has a float magnet in the left hand side of the tank. A reed switch is mounted inside the machines right hand panel which senses if the tank is empty. If you remove the tank and fill with water and the display indicates fill tank. The sensor may have failed. Or the float has stuck in the down possition. If the display indicated filll sytem and or rinse. Then the sensor is fine. The next stage is to try rinsing . If it keeps saying filll system or rinse then there may be a blockage in the tank. Or the flow meters have failed. This is assuming water is being dispensed from the water arm etc . If no water is being dispensed and this time assuming you can hear the pumps running. Then there possibly be a blockage in a thermoblock. I could go on for ever guessiing based on the info you discribed. If any more info is required please say

Once started, the descaling procedure may not be stopped. • When acid-containing descalers are used, immediately remove any splashes or drops on sensitive surfaces, particularly from natural stone and wood surfaces. Also, take the appropriate safety precautions. • Turn off the Saphira by pressing the "ON/OFF" button. • Press the button "Descale" until an acoustic signal is heard. • Display: EMPTY DRIP TRAY (Fig.1) • Display: INSERT AGENT IN TANK • Display: PRESS DECALCIFYING Dissolve 2 DESCALING tablets completely in 2.5 cups of water in a vessel and pour the mixture into the empty water tank. Poor frothing

You need to check (or replace) the air-intake nozzle which is located inside the coffee outlet. You will sure loose the good froth if that part is not clean or replaced. There should be proper amount of air input to produced the proper froth.

Hi
I have just bought a Franke Flair coffee machine second hand. It looks like new and the seller said it was in good working order - however it does not have the grinder blocker and I think we need one. I wouldn't mind also getting the once over from an expert and then maybe some kind of ongoing contact should we have problems with it. What are your rates?
