I have a DSL router from Consolidated Communications. I'm trying to log into it to change the encryption on my wireless network. I'm on my laptop connected via a LAN cable. I've tried going to 192.168.1.1 and log in with these usernames and passwords to no avail: admin/admin (blank)/admin admin/(blank) user/user support/support root/12345 admin/cciadmin cciadmin/admin admin/password Nothing seems to work. I'm wondering if I can reset the router without losing my ISP settings. Suggestions?
Ummmm...I believe its 192.168.2.1 to get into the router
The default gateway is showing 192.168.1.1. I tried 192.168.2.1 and it doesn't take me anywhere.
192.168.1.1 shows up as "DSL Router" It just won't accept the passwords I put in.
where did the router come from?
It came from my ISP: Consolidated Communications. The odd thing is I've logged into it before with a default login (admin/admin) but it doesn't accept that anymore. I didn't change anything.
If the ISP supplied it, there is a chance they changed the password online....I found this site but not sure if it will help you.http://setuprouter.com/router/comtrend/n...
Password may be changed by someone .watch the video linked below and then enter the username& password printed at the back of the router after entering 192.168.2.1 at address bar of browser

thanks for all of the advice peeps. Im not going to reset the router for fear of it resetting the isp settings. Im going to contact the ISP on Monday and ask them for the information. Thank you all!
Hello, the IP address for your router is probably not 192.168.1.1. There is a list of all the possible different IP, as well as the usernames and passwords that each brand set as default. More info here:https://19216811.click
