If the built-in check valve is bad, then circulation pump will not perform the job

If there is power to it the entire time, then it is probably overheating

replace the cartridge

Isn't the undersink unit hooked to the cold water pipe? If this is the case, the undersink unit is not affected by the tankless unit!
