2 possible problems. On the outside of the tub front and on the top back are cement counter weights that are bolted to the tub. If they are coming loose, they would cause the tub to go off balance and wobble. If just the stainless inner tub is the one that wobbles, that suggests a bad rear drum bearing. The counter weight problem easy to fix once you get the top and back off and just need re-tightened. The back drum bearing is something even trained techs want to avoid. It requires removing the complete tub/drum assembly from the washer----then splitting the outer tub in half to replace the inner drum and bearing assembly. Cost for parts will be excessive and not worth the repair.

I own a GE WCVH6800 J1WW High Efficiency front load clothes washer. Bought it in August 2009- 6 years old. It started to give off white smoke during a spin cycle.

Smoke in spin could be that the basket isrrubbing on the door seal rotate the drum slowly look for a wobble it should be centered if its not check your manual for warranty some cover this repair 100%some parts only. Not worth it if you have to pay whole repair

Washing machine unit basket is wobbling. Can I fix it myself?

Top load or front if front load and you can push up on basket with significant play then either a bad tub bearing or broken weld on basket shaft support if this indeed is the problem consider replacement parts are expensive and labor intensive

My spacesaver dated September of 2004 shuts off

I solved the problem by buying a new microwave and it was not a GE. I feel that GE should have had a recall on this problem, since it seemed to be a major problem in their system. I will never buy another GE product.
