How do I get it to go into bios when pressing f2 doesn't work

When you power on the Samsung and see the Samsung logo, pressing the F2 key should allow you to go into the BIOS.
it is a samsung np270e5e-k02uk. that keeps coming up with an error message on boot up and keeps turning off to reboot. It was doing a windows 8 update and the screen went black and my daughter thought it had finished doing the update and turned off, so she shut the laptop, and it has being doing this since she did that.
