You need to get a digtal voltage meter (about $15) and check it out yourself-readings at the battery should be 12.5 volts after sitting overnight. Once you start it, the readings at the battery terminals should go up to almost 15 volts when first started, then gradually drop down to around 14.2 volts-I would bet either your battery is bad, or your battery is bad and your alternator has failed trying to supply power to a bad battery-either way, your mechanic should not have allowed the battery light to stay on after changing out the alternator without finding out what was wrong-he did not fix it.
When tv it shutting itself off by it own does the tv power LED light indication flashes?Tv turn on now,the tv power light indication, just flashes?Yes,than ur tv power supply board is the causes and the problems. That the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
1) Check the cpu and heatsink are clear of dust and rubbish. If CPU's overheat, the PC can also shut down.
2) If so, then yes it could well be your PSU. Give it a good blow through/clean. If that doesn't work then it needs to be tested, you can get small testers or go to a repair shop and ask them to test it. But make sure the test is run for about 30 minutes. I had mine tested, paid money, test came out good, but it wasn't run for long enough. Tested again it failed after 15 mins.
3) If you want to avoid that route first, take out the psu, dismantle it and check the printed circuit board, if you see what looks like a yellow fluid stain under some capacitors, one of them has failed. You need to replace it. But as a replacement CPU shouldn't be too much, I wouldn't go to too much trouble, unless I wanted to have the fun of repairing it.
pick up a can of freeze spray at staples and run you set till it breaks down with the back ooff so you can get at it fast when it fails spray your t-con board locates at the top middle see if it stops doing the symtom you saw. if not spray the mainboard this way you can deturmine which board it failing
sounds like bad news - if the flash (update to firmware) failed during update, the item is more than likely dead. Warranty return possible?
Can you try another usb device on that same pc?
just to verify the usb ports are working properly and supplying proper power to the devices.
the problem may be due to dry soldering in the power supply stage if it was with the lamp there would be red or green light showing the presence of the power to the tv after making it own some of the components get hot and it will make the the soldering point conectionless and after some time the heat sink get cooled and the soldering point gets connected and u will see the picture again it is a simple problem if u have a soldering iron u make it hot and re solder all the components in the first part of the circuit board and the problem if rectified
