Fitness Quest Eclipse 1175e Elliptical Trainers were recalled on December 11, 2007 for a fall hazard. During exercise, the foot pedal crank can break. After receiving 190 reports of the crank breaking, the company is offering a replacement product or credit toward other Fitness Quest products. If the pedal falls off, be sure to save it; you will need the right foot platform to claim the replacement or credit.
Owners should stop using the elliptical trainer immediately. Owners can receive a replacement with another Fitness Quest product or credit.

E1 errors are usually lubrication/resistance issues. Has the unit been oiled/greased recently?
