Need code and instructions Sylvania tv with time warner remote. Also need to unlck vchip code

For Time Warner Cable digital remote controls to work with your 42" LG HDTV, do the following:

1. Press "TV" and "OK" simultaneously for 3 seconds, until the button "tv" light on the remote is on.

2. Enter the TV code. In this case, it's "113". With the right code, your component will turn off. Quickly press the power button on your digital cable remote to turn it back on. Press the "TV" button again so that the remote saves that code.

3. You should be done.

You need to be using the TV's remote, not the Time Warner remote.  You are reading the TV's manual to set it's remote, not the Time Warner remote.  If you want the Time Warner remote to operate the TV, you will need to find the instructions that the Time Warner box/receiver provides and enter the TV's code.

time warner has only one code and it is 400

I am not familiar with the Time Warner remote, but Tivo remotes require pressing "tv power" and the "Tivo" button at the same time to program them.
Maybe you are pressing one a little ahead of the other.

I had the same problem, so I followed these steps and it worked!

1) Turn on TV.
2) On the remote control, press TV once (it will blink once). Then press and hold SETUP until the TV key blinks twice.
3) Enter 9 9 1, (the TV key will blink twice).
4) Aim the remote control at the TV & press POWER once.
5) Press & release the CH+ key continously (you may need to press it more than 50 times!), then stop when the TV turns off.
6) Press POWER. The TV should turn on, then immediately, press SETUP to lock in the code.

Sylvania TVs are made by Funai Corp. You should try any Funai codes that are listed for the Synergy V remote. Alternatively, you can try the code search method, point and search. I found the codes for Funai to be 047 048 157 168 211 .

(For my TV, the search all codes is often better for universal remotes. The brand name codes listed didn't work; searching all codes found an exact match for all the features that I use.)

i bot a new tv i don't have the book for the time warner remote so i don't know how to program it to work the tv it only works cable box
where can i find how to program remote that comes with time warner cable

I made mine work by using programing the vcr button as opposed to the tv.

Insignia® has a remote control code web tool on their website at http://www.insignia-products.com/universalcontrolcodes.aspx. I input your information, but they do not have specific information for Time Warner remotes. For your model, it mentions you should try the codes listed with your remote for Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, and Zenith. Hopefully one of these codes will give you full or partial functionality.
