When I am running, treadmill initially works, then slowdowns and sometimes stops. If I stand still, it starts mowing again. Speed always varies - not really stable. Any ideas? (I have replaced the pad, board and lubricated - ruled out..)
Sounds like a MCB problem, I have MCB's in stock ready for shipment, [email protected]
Testimonial: "I did replace MCB - that fixed the issue. Funny thing that newer boards come with reverse incline motor switch - had to flip the motor relay contacts ;-)"

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.
If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.
But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

Hello there. It sounds as if you may have a button stuck on your console. Thus not allowing any other buttons to be pushed. (i.e. the 4 beeps). This is usually caused by the i-fit buttons (silver buttons on the front). If the machine is only 4 months old you should still be under warranty (1 year) I believe. This problem in most instances requires the console be replaced. You can contact nordictrack through iconservice.com or by using the number on the fron of your users manual.
Good Luck! Tim

Inspect belt and deck. The deck should be smooth without any grooves, pits, or exposed wood. The belt should have a consistent ridged feel from one side of the belt to the other (a belt can be worn out without any sensory signs of a problem). If you feel deep grooves in the deck or uneven wear on the underside of the belt, part replacement is necessary. Visually look at the underside of the belt. It should have a consistent look. Black streaks in the belt are a sign of bottom-layer wear through. Very worn belts will feel smooth in the areas you normally walk- you would think smooth is good but not in belts because the smoother the belt, the more contact area. Continued use of your treadmill may damage expensive electrical components. 85% of all Treadmill problems are cause by worn belt and deck I would revisit the scene of the crime again.

I have the same issue I don't think anybody (including the supposed "experts") really know what they are talking about. The buttons work until they don't and then a bunch of them all stop functioning at once. The advice I always get is "replace the console" which amounts to saying "I don't know what's wrong" If I had to guess I think a static discharge has damaged the contoller board which doesn't manifest itself until the machine (and hence the board) warms up. Anyhow I haven't found a real solution to this issue if anyone has any real knowledge please post your solution.

1) Run the calibration software for easy diagnostic and fix it. go to owner manual, and go under the hood for following the steps.2) Exchange the batteries by new ones, cleanup contact from the batteries for oxide, and see if there are Not SOME WIRES BROKEN OR LOOSE.3) Tight the keypanel from flexible cable vs display board, 4) tigh the display board vs lower board. 5) attached the sensor reed switch by 1/8" or 3 mms adjusted according. 6) Test the main motor controller board for 115 Vca, and then +5 vdc for output coming to display board very important.
7) Test the transformer for primaRY VOLTATE see the tip adjust how to do it. 8) Finally see the block diagram that I did like like you for easy diagnostic and fix it.to.
