The printer "says" to be offline and won't print. Cables are working (tried on another CLP-325). Already tried to change its status from the Preferences panel, but it seems to lack any "use offline/online" option, only the "sharing on network" one is present and the trick on that one isn't working. The computer is running Mac OSX 10.9.2)

Some network interfaces have been found to be defective. Try printing from parallel or usb until you can get a replacement network interface.

If you have the green light and test prints OK, check the condition of the USB connector in the back of the printer. The pins inside get damaged by being too close to the wall or something like that, broken connections to the logic pcb, You can solder a new connector on if that's the problem, otherwise you may need a new circuit board.

SOURCE: Hello. My husband and
Hi Dina,
Is the printer directly connected to your husband's computer?
If so your husband's computer MUST be switched on AND connected to the network. Depending on your settings your husband's computer may have to be logged in, for it to be 'connected to the network'
Also power saving could be causing you problems. I.e. your husbands machine may be going into 'sleep' mode when not in use. You can adjust the 'power saving' options from control panel (on your husband's machine) to prevent the computer going off-network and therefore setting your printer 'off-line'
Hope this helps.
