Wats , or Power = I x E E= volts , if you unit shows the amperage that is I the voltage is 110 that is from the wall outlet, or 120
so 110 volts times your amperage, would = your wattage
if your product says 20 amp and you know your wall outlet has 120 volts then you will also know that you have 2200 wats

SOURCE: How many Watts does my machine have?

Watts is Current ( listed in Amps and normally shown on a tag of some sort on your machine ) times Voltage ( 120Vac) so if you had
For example.. if it listed 10A as in 10 amps @ 120 V then you would have 10 x 120 or 1200 watts.. This should get you in the ballpark.. If you can provide the exact model number of your machine.. I couold get the specs on it and give you a better answer.. Hope that helps...

SOURCE: hi i want to buy

Hi,

I would prefer Kenmore, enmore makes perhaps the largest selection of mechanical machines. The very cheapest Kenmore sewing machines, like the Kenmore Mini (*est. $100) and Kenmore 15208 (*est. $120), stick with a four-step buttonhole, and have just six and eight stitches, respectively. The Kenmore 15212 (*est. $150) and Kenmore 15218 (*est. $170) both have a one-step buttonhole. The cheaper Kenmore 15212 has 12 stitches. The slightly more expensive model has 18 stitches, including a smocking stitch, overcast and elastic stretch stitch in addition to the basics. Both Kenmore sewing machines are good, basic models, say reviews. Both have just a 90-day warranty, however. Bear in mind that Kenmore sewing machines are made by different Asian companies each year, resulting in varying degrees of quality; this also explains the low prices. Some users report difficulty with tension and light fabrics.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SOURCE: Would like to know how

this is not specified..but only the voltage ...being made for the US ..is on 120 V ..
the exact specifications are : 120v ~ 60hz 0.65a
If you need to use it in another location and you want the info for to use a transformer ..I'll say that any transformer that have an 120 V output ..and over 50W will do the job ..cause it;s motor can not be more powerful ..its somewhere between 50 and 100 ..

If I use a 220vac / 110vac 100 watts step down transformer to operate a 110vac sewing machine will it affect the performance or software of the machine

100 watts is likely sufficient for a typical home machine, but you will have to check power requirements of the specific machine.

As to performance and software, if you operate the voltage converter beyond rated capacity, the machine will likely experience "brown out" or lost cycle power interrupt conditions and the resulting low power faults that occur with any embedded processor controlled equipment operating under poor power conditions.

Good rule is to use a converter rated at twice the maximum load equipment power requirements. It will increase the life of both the converter and load (sewing machine).

India 220watts how I cAn use brother cs6000i sewing machine in India

The only way I know is a 110/220 volt transformer.
They are available in any electronics supply house.
As I remember the motors in these machines are only two lead, and they put the motor in for the country it will be sold in.
Dual voltage motors have three or four leads (wires).

Caan u pls help me I bought brother HC1850 from US and I live in Nigeria,in my excitement I didn't check to see what voltage it I Jst plugged it,it came for a second then give popping sound and then nothin...

If you're lucky only the power board is toasted. If it's bad luck then you'll have to replace both the power board and the main logic board. The good news is both parts together retail for under $100 US, so you should be able to find them on Aliexpress for a lot less. The bad news is the powerboard is not robust; if you want to use the Brother in Nigeria's 240V electrical environment I'd recommend using a 240v-120v step down transformer connected to a 120v UPS / Line Conditioner. Brother doesn't recommend that any of their computerized (sewing) equipment be used in poor power conditions or with step down transformers, the power circuits aren't built to be that strong.

My sewing has a 110 volts, but i plug in at 220,wht should i do?

Buy a converter transformer - this will convert the 220v mains to 110v. They are also used as safety isolation transformers on construction sites but cheaper, domestic, transformers are also available for household appliances, but first check the power consumption of your sewing machine by looking at the specification section of the handbook and make sure you purchase a transformer with at least 50% extra power rating.

Sorry to say, you probably burned up the motor (judging from the burning smell). The solution would be to replace the motor, but that might not be as easy as it sounds, especially if your sewing machine is computerized.

I looked all through Brother's web site for a dealer in Chennai, India, but all I could find was this: Hope it helps!! Robbie
