Some models the bowl is suspended from the top, check all springs & shafts are connected. If the washer bowl is suspended from the bottom with springs they are adjustable. In this model sometimes the base is warping & will need replacing.

SOURCE: Ld error on Maytag Bravo. How to remove items stuck under tub?

if you can see the socks you may be able to remove by making a wire hook with an old coat hanger or something similar if you are able to undo the hose coming out of your bowl to the water pump you may be able to also fish out the coins if you are lucky but the best way is to dismantle bowl let me know how you went

SOURCE: Hi there, My Westinghouse washing machine

Hi just read your posting. Now are the springs at the bottom end of the suspension rods inside a tube with a rubber insert at the end of the rod?If this is correct then it will be the same as most top suspended washing machines. We call these tubes dampeners and they stop the spring from reacting too fast therefore keeping the inner bowl steady. Now try this.Take the weight off each rod one by one so you expose the spring the put some bearing grease around the rubber insert.Be generous with the grease and do this to each rod. This will help the rods react properly to the shifting weight of the bowl and help seal any wearing of the rubber.Make sure to replace the plastic cap and please reply if you require further help.Good luck.

SOURCE: maytag bravo quiet series 300: Stopped at spin:

We have a Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 washing machine, the door latch is broken. I have the replacement part ( the locking mechanism) but I need can not figure out how to get the top of the washer to flip up to give me access to top front of the machine to remove the old part and replace it with the new.

How do I flip back the top (not the door) of this machine?

SOURCE: how to get the clothes out of my maytag bravo that

Hello, welcome to FixYa

To address your question "how to get the clothes out of my maytag bravo that is in between the tub" you should do as follows...

**First unplug the washer... safety first**

1) the top needs to be lifted, this is best done with a puddy knife or something similar to depress the clips on both sides, i.e. (these tops are quiet heavy and the lid has heavy springs so be careful...leave the top in the "up" position until you can rest the entire top against a wall or something to allow you to work un-impeded as show below as well )

macmarkus_427.jpg
Lean it back if possible...watch that lid again, those springs are heavy duty.

2) remove the re-circulation hose clamp for the top deflector/splash guard...and remove the guard via the clips around the tub.

Pull's off,

macmarkus_431.jpg
3) remove the "agitator" assembly (we'll call it that anyway)...first the cap, then the 7/16" bolt, pull straight up (you may need to wiggle it back and forth until it lets loose )

7/16' bolt,

4) once removed you'll see the outer basket hub, you do not even need to remove this via the philips head screws...sometimes it helps to loosen it, but don't take it off completely. Then the entire assembly will lift out ( again you may need to wiggle it around )

That should gain you access between the tubs. Also I'd suggest you check small plastic cover over the pump outlet/sump area. It's a good idea to remove it and check around or clean out since you're in there.

That should give you a pretty good start or in fact all you need to clear up your problem. Let me know how you make out and we can go forward from there if necessary. Good luck.

I'll be watching for your post on progress/completion.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

My Maytag Bravos top load washer upon spin cycle shakes so bad that it shuts itself off in less than ten seconds. It's level, true level, clothes are evenly distributed and not too many?

One or more of the tub suspension rods or dampening straps could be damaged. Does the tub bounce smoothly, if you push it down and then release it? This checks the suspension rods. Other parts related to balancing the tub include the suspension pads, springs or balance rings. (The washer will usually squeal and shake badly, if the tub bearing is failing.)

The washer shuts off to avoid damage additional damage to the washer.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number of the washer, if you need a parts diagram to show where to look for these parts. The model number may be on the machine in one of these places: on the back behind the control panel, inside the lid on the bottom right corner, or on the back of the washer on the base frame on the left.

I keep getting ul code on maytag bravo mtw6600tq0. I've already replaced the suspension rods. Still getting code during spin cycle.

Your washer is off balance or the load is unbalanced. If uL (unbalanced load) appears in display, the load is out of balance. The washer is running a load-balance correction routine.Sep 25, 2018

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer Model number WTW63003WO that gets off balance and displays a UL code.

It's important to check the level of the unit, and assure all adjustable feet are firmly planted on the ground first. A very common problem with these units are the suspension dampening rods, when they get weak they allow the tub to move around too much while spinning, and sometimes washing. A simple test by an experienced technician who knows what to look for would be to reach into the wash basket while the machine is empty and off, and push the tub all the way down till it stops, the technician will be looking for the amount of resistance it takes for this to happen. The easier it is to push the basket and tub assembly down to the end of it's travel the weaker the suspension rods are. At least one update to these suspension rods have been made, suggesting the current replacements are stronger. Part# W10247710, based on a model number of WTW6300WW0. Pleazer Appliance...

My top load Bravos washing machine wobbles during spin cycle.

Most likely suspension rods and bushings need replacing. Also check outer tub ring. Sometimes it will break from beating on sides of washer, behind where water comes out.

My maytag bravos washer model#mtw6700tq0 sounds like it has a boot trying to get out and then it stops and says UL and won't spin at about 11 minutes from my reading her sounds like possoble suspension...

My mtw6700tq0 was doing the same thing and got progessively worse. I found out the suspension springs sometimes weaken. I replaced them and the problem went away. Sears PART NUMBER: 8564009 - Maytag part - W10189077 - costed me $51.47 from Sear Parts Center. The replacements have added pieces to replace the need for a grease filled fitting. So be sure to read the instructions so you dont have re-open the unit to install all the extra parts..like I did. Good luck.
