How do I change the names on the stations?

Question edited to add make name, which also happens to be mine!

The easiest way is just to remove the batteries for 20 seconds. The manual as not good because it is made in China.

I hope I am correct in thinking you do not have the instructions for your High Sierra weather station.

I have tried to find instructions / a user manual for a High Sierra weather station, but so far, the web sites I have found do not seem totally trustworthy to me . . . meaning, I suspect malware will be downloaded and installed on your computer while downloading the instructions.

Therefore, I suggest you contact High Sierra Electronics Technical Support and ask for instructions for your particular model of weather station.See the information here:

The station name is in program 4-18, but that requires getting into system programming, which is not recommended unless you know what your doing in there. This info will not be found in a user guide.

some stereos you have to input the name of the station yourself.

Station name assingnment from the attendent position.Press the feature key then dial 25
enter station number using the dialpad.
enter the station name using dialpad.
use the following:
# key to move the cursor right
conf key to move cursor left and clear last entry.
press feature key when finished.

To the right of the number 6 station preset is an auto/name button. In the display it likely shows something like auto 1 or 2. each press will cycle it through Auto 1 > Auto 2 > Manual. You want the manual setting. See if that works for you.

In your system support room - - you will have two computers set up for your phone system - maybe (at least that's how it's set up here).

One is for the voicemail system and one is for the phone display, essentially.

You will log in to that other station and when you get the command prompt type
change station xxx (where xxx is the extension of the phone display you wish to change).

From extension 201: Press transfer then dial 104. Press the up arrow until the station number and name you wish to change is displayed. Press the hold key to delete the current data and enter the new name with the keypad by pressing the digit 2 one time for A, press the digit 2 two times for B and so forth. The volume up and down buttons will move the cursor left and right. Press the transfer key to store the new data.
