If i restored my laptop to factory settings an i think im missing drivers is the a program that will look an c if i got all of them an if i dont it will fix them for free?

You don't say how old your laptop is. Some older laptops came with an Operating System Disc and also a Drivers/Apps Disc. Both would need to be installed to recover to factory settings. If you recovered from a recovery partition on the hard drive, then the drivers should already be installed. Yes there are online services that will scan your machine and install drivers.....many are spam and spyware-ridden. You should simply look at the Device Manager and look for errors that indicate missing or improperly installed drivers. There may be an issue if the network driver is missing, because then you won't be able to get to the internet. Once you know what you need, if you go to the manufacturers website, you can almost always download the needed hardware drivers and install them yourself.

How to reset to factory settings

Hello there and welcome to fixya
To restore to factory settings
1. power off the computer make sure there is nothing connected to it like any internet cords or speakers or mouse ect ect.
2. turn on the computer and immediately press the f11 button you may have to press this a few times.
3. the computer will come up to the restore screen then it will ask you if you want to restore files or reset to factory settings this may be in the advanced options ok?
4.once it has started to restore DO NOT INTERRUPT IT because it formats the hard drive and re installs the original files back to factory condition.
If you do interrupt it you will be left with a inoperative computer and you will have to do the whole process over ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Mike

I want to restore my hp pavilion dv4000 to factory settings but nothing i try will get me to the recovery manager

Hi I'm sure you may of already tried this but I have restored mine from factory setting more then once so I first to to "control settings" There you will see several different options but you want to go to
  1. "system and security" Mine is the first one on the page then scroll down "To Find and Fix problem.
  2. You are going to see things such as view all view history ect but you scroll down a little until you see "See also" then click on "ACTION CENTER'
  3. This is the page you want, it is here where you will be able to change your computer back to when it first came out of the box.
  4. You will see Trouble shooting and Recovery and "Restore your computer to an earlier time"
  5. Click on restore to earlier time and you should be able to take it from there, It will ask if u want to go to a past Date but also give the options to "Recover from brand new, or should I say out of the box. Hope this helps, good luck.

Toshiba Laptop A 105 missing winsoc 2

I recommend you restore your computer using the system recovery application. Hopefully you have a back-up for your other files. This is the only sure way to restore your system back to factory setting and restore your missing files. Good Luck.

Reboot back to factory settings

If you are having problems with your system and you want to restore it to factory settings .. as long as there is nothing wrong with the CD drive itself you do not need windows drivers for it to function properly during a factory restore
