    E6 F2 Error Code = Faulty Control Board.
    This is the most common board failure symptom and can only be due to the control board. Since the techsheet decodes this to “cancel key line drive open”, many people suspect the keypad is bad. The keypad is not causing an E6/F2. Based on years of experience, E6/F2 is never anything other than the control board….. Sometimes we see an intermittent electrical connection due to oxidation of the contacts on the keypad membrane tail. This can be easily cleaned so you can check this before investing in a new keypad. I posted some pictures and the procedure on our website. Here's the link:

Rbd245pdt12 error code e6 &f2
This oven uses control board part number 8302967. E6 F2 is due to a failure in the control board. This board is no longer available from Whirlpool. It can be rebuild at www.fixyourboar.com with a 2 year warranty.

I keep getting the following error message: E6 F2 - what does this mean?
If you have a Whirlpool oven, the F2 E6 error means that the Cancel key line is open. You will need to replace the keypad or the keypad and controller board (if a single assembly) if the keypad doesn't respond to a press of the Cancel Key.

My control panel on a whirlpool oven rbd305pds15 now shows E6 F2 codes and I am not sure what they mean??? How do I fix this?
An F2 E6 error means that there is a problem with the keypad. Make sure that the keypad wire is firmly connected to the control board. Then press Cancel. If the error returns in 60 seconds, you need to replace the keypad. With some Whirlpool ovens the keypad and control board are a single unit and you will need to replace the entire assembly.

For this oven, it seems that the control panel assembly is available here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5139596&diagram_id=28216054 (On the Control Panel diagram, there are three listed - pick the one that matches your oven color.) The price depends on the color option.

F2 - E6 Cancel key drive line open 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

There are 2 quick beeps then 4 beeps. Display shows E6 in red and F2 in blue. Model is RBD306PDQ14. Oven will beep again (same sequence) then the display clears. Oven light comes on when you open the door.
