If you have an old Magic Jack, my 4 unit are 6 years old the company just really wants you to upgrade to a newer product no need to. Try removing Magic Jack completely from your tablet, restart unit, make sure to clean out all junk on tablet from Magic Jack you could try a program that cleans your tablet for you, but unless you know what to remove don't get technical just a standard clean up of old files, this is usually under apps, Magic Jack, then there will be a clear cash button, clear data, and uninstall.
Restart unit then do a fresh install of Magic Jacks new app for your type of tablet from Googles sight or Magic Jacks make sure if you have a Mac to install the Mac App and if you have an android tablet you install the Android App. This has been working for me. With the old Magic Jack you will need to do a fresh install when you get errors and crashes. I do it 2 or 3 times a year. Good Luck!!
In what way would it not work?
You may have a faulty USB port or may be disabled in the system BIOS. Check for USB port functionality first since magic jack uses the USB port.
Get ahold of a flash-drive and see if the flash drive works in the port. You may have a faulty magic jack device if nothing else.
