I'm trying to use aux to play music from my phone, a galaxy s4, I bought a 3.5 mm cord, and I figured out how to turn aux on, but the music won't play, only from my phone, any suggestions?

I have 2 sgh-m919 galaxy s4 s from TMobile. Both phones were randomly showing the message "sim card not detected restart" and phone would reboot.. sometime would have to reboot 2 or 3 times before i was normal. I tried many of the net poste solutions including paper on sim card, clear cache, new battery etc. Nothing worked

This week i was ready to buy a new phone.. but was sure the phone wasnt the problem. I started deleteing apps one at a time and found the problem. It is GOOGLE MAPS !!! G0 into settings / more / application manager / slide over to all/ down to Maps /clear cache/ uninstall updates / force stop. Then turn off phone and restart. When you go to use maps or waze again when it asks for permission "decline" it will still work and you wont see the sim not detected restart message again.. Google the words google maps crash or reboots and see how many phones crash. Galaxy s4 happen to have the dialog box that makes it appear to be a hardware problem! Googles motto use to be "First do no harm" please reply if this works for you

not possible. unless you connect through head phone. it takes two kinds of different cables. better to download of internet music to cd

try playing your music first on your phone then with the cord alreay in your radio, plug it in to your phone....If that doesnt work, might be a setting on your radio....is it on aux in????

On your smartphone, you need to enable the bluetooth wireless headset settings. There may be a seperate setting on your bluetooth options for enable wireless headset and enable wireless handsfree.

You may also want to check and make sure the volume is turned up all the way on the smartphone media player and on the headset.
