Hello,
We have a Thermador SC302ZS convection/conventional oven where only the conventional settings of the oven work; it will pre-heat, bake and the fan operates.
The "convection" settings do not work. The pre-heat will only display 100*f, the fan rotates, but the oven will not heat.
Thanks, Sonoma Oven @ Thanksgiving!
If this oven works the same as the 302T, the bake element is not used during convection mode, only the convection element.
The cooling fan must come on
The air switch must close
The convection element must be good
I would suspect the element first.
Post back and let me know what you find out.
The convection element is located behind the convection fan cover on the back wall inside the oven.
Just wanting to follow up on your oven and see if you located the problem or need help checking the components I listed.
Thanks/Mike
Sonoma

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this
problem the sensor needs replacement. If you want to be sure before replacing
the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it
reads more than this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is
around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement.
Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Please note: the oven does heat for normal baking, but not for convection.
I have a microwave convection oven. It doesn't heat up. When you press start it sounds like it is working but doesn't heat up. Also, when it is running it seems to be louder than it used to be...
